Week 1 Prayers for Sally Bahn as she fights cancer.; Johanna Sterner has been moved to Rest Haven for therapy; Please keep the family of the 25 year old mother and her unborn child in your prayers whom was stabbed during a domestic dispute by her husband yesterday afternoon. She and her unborn child died. Her two year old was in the house at the time but not harmed.; 12 yr old Bryn Mortenson has been diagnosed with a large pituitary tumor on the brain. Please hold her and their family in prayer.; Prayers for Dawn Myers as she tackles breast cancer; JoAnn Bishop who will go thru 5 weeks of chemo for breast cancer Week 2 Continued prayers for the Reeder Family. Myka is still recovering from her liver transplant. Her body hasn t rejected the liver but she is still having her ups and downs. Dick is at Rest Haven under physical therapy. Their granddaughter Stacy is recovering from a c-section.; Roseann Craft has liver cancer.; Ava Smith is hospitalized. (Caitlyn Mooney s GS sister); Prayers for the Armolds. Katie was taken to the ER with hives, elevated heart rate and blood pressure. Terry was taken to the ER twice but is now at home receiving PT. ; Lester Miller is recovering from back surgery; Johanna Sterner is recovering from ankle surgery. Week 3 Prayers for Nicki Barrett and her family. Nicki has colon cancer and will begin 6 months of chemo. REGARDING NEWSLETTER AND BULLETIN COMMUNICATION PLEASE NOTE: For any information that must be printed in either the newsletter or bulletin please provide a written copy (handwritten or via to the office). Please DO NOT add your information to a lengthy thread but send your information on its own. Also, please do not hand this information to anyone on a Sunday but drop it off on the desk in the office. We are doing our best to be efficient and not miss anything and these simple steps will help alleviate any further misses. Thanks for your patience and understanding. COMMITTEE CHAIRS: Please report ALL scheduled meetings to the office. Do NOT assume that someone else in attendance will know to make this report to the office unless you as chair have designated such a person. This process has been working well. Files are being created for each committee or ministry as information is shared.

4 Mission Central On January 12, 5 people went to Mission Central and packed 170 school kits. If interested in being a part of this, the next meeting date is February 9. We meet in the church parking lot and leave promptly at 8 am. We work from 9-12 and then leave to go home. Sign up sheets are at the information center. Mission Central is collecting cards. Instead of tossing your Christmas, Birthday, Thank You cards, please bring in and put in the Mission Central basket. Pastor Tanya will be starting a new Bible Study on Tuesdays at 1 pm and 6 pm starting in February. The 1 pm study will be held at Grace UMC in the meeting room. Their address is 37 N. Broad Street. The facility is handicap accessible and there is off - street parking. The 6 pm study will be at Calvary in the parlor. Schedule February - 7th, 14th, and 21st March - 7th, 14th, and 21st April - 4th, 11th, and 18th All youth are invited to a Super Bowl Party Sunday Feb 5th at 5pm at the parsonage. Pizza will be provided, please bring a snack to share. We will watch the whole game, but it's a school night so you can leave whenever you need to. If you are planning to attend please let Breanne know so we can plan the food. Thanks, hope to see you then. S unday, Feb. 19th is Youth Sunday and Blanket Sunday. The youth will be collecting donations for Church World Service blankets. CWS give blankets to people in crisis in our own backyard and around the world. 5,030 blankets were distributed in the states alone in The youth will have hearts that you can use to donate in memory or in honor of a loved one, just $10 provides a blanket for someone in need. Thank you all for your generosity!

The Dixieland Band will be joining us again this year, and we ll have a lot of fun! Come enjoy some Spanish Cuisine with our new staff Pastors, Josue and Vivian and the 1st Spanish Congregation. This will be held in the social hall on Feb. 18 at 3 pm. Sign-up sheet is at the information center. St. Matthews Lutheran Church will be holding a blood drive on Feb. 13 from 1-6:30. Please call Josie to make an appointment at (717) FEBRUARY IS NATIONAL HEART MONTH Take care of your heart. Calvary needs your heart. Due to the kindness of Calvary's hearts we were able to cook 280 pounds of turkey which fed 310 people for a Thanksgiving Eve Community Supper and 60 Meals for Christmas Trinity Wednesday. and another 50 meals in January. This turkey was accompanied by 370 servings of donated mashed potatoes and 370 filling balls made from donated ingredients. Keep your hearts healthy.

6 SANDWICH SALE United Methodist Women will be holding a sandwich sale. All orders are due to Dot Markle by March 5. Pick - up is on March 15. See order form at information center. CHILDREN IN THE CHURCH A little boy was attending his first wedding. After the service, his cousin asked him, "How many women can a man marry?" "Sixteen," the boy responded. His cousin was amazed that he had an answer so quickly. "How do you know that?" "Easy," the little boy said. "All you have to do is add it up, like the pastor said, 4 better, 4 worse, 4 richer, 4 poorer."
