I will praise You in the presence of Your saints. ~Psalm 52:9 WELCOME: We come here today to worship our Creator God who promised that while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall continue with the changing season. May your worship here today be sincere and filled with reverence before your God. We invite you to join us after the morning worship service for refreshments and a time of fellowship. Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher, in the foyer during the offering this morning for Children s Church. Today at 2:30 PM, Care Center Devotions will be provided by Devotion Group #3. If you are in this group, you will have instructions in your church mailbox. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES Last week Sunday morning, the story of Cornelius displayed a God who cleanses what was once kept out; this week, we look at this event from the opposite angle, along with the Jewish believers. What kind of people are a part of God s family? Acts 10:44-11:18 shows us that Even the Gentiles receive the same gift that the Apostles first received. This evening, please join the community churches HERE at 6:00 PM, where Pastor Mike DeJager will be continue with our series The Lord, Our Shepherd. Bethel Lutheran will host the service and the luncheon afterwards. PRAYERS AND PRAISES Dear Platte CRC We really appreciate the food you provided for us. 4 A special thank you to Pastor Drew for the times he visited mom (Esther Hoekman) since he moved to Platte. These visits were special to her. I want to thank him as well for his support of our family and the time he spent with us in her last hours. I want to thank her church family for consistently visiting mom both at Assisted Living and Platte Care Center. The past eight months have been a difficult time for her and she always talked about the visits she had with those who came to see her. Thank you, as well, to those who assisted at her funeral and served the lunch. ~Gordon & Betty Visscher OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS The Bulletin will be printed on Wednesday this week, so please have any bulletin announcements to the office by Wednesday noon. Classis Iakota: Because of last week s blizzard, Classis Iakota s spring meeting in Inwood, IA was postponed to this Tuesday. Please be in prayer for all the delegates, including Pastor Drew, Elder Mike Kuipers and Deacon Jeremy Bultsma. New Holland CRC invites you to attend the combined Prayer Day Service this Wednesday, March 14 at 7:30 PM. Pastor Drew will give the message. The offering will be for the Lake Andes Sunday School (make checks to: New Holland CRC). Nursery will be provided and refreshments will be served. The new batch of Caring Casseroles is in the freezer. Feel free to deliver to someone in need. Please sign them out in the notebook on the side of the fridge. Caring Casserole Update: Since beginning in 2013, we have made and delivered about 450 casseroles! Thanks so much to everyone who has helped assemble, donated food, and delivered these meals over the last 5 years. Continue to pray that the casseroles will be a way for our church and it s members to reach out in our community and demonstrate God s love in action.

5 Spring Book Study: You should receive your book this week in your mailbox. Please bring it to our first lunch, this Friday at noon in the Family Room. If possible, read the introduction and Chapter One. If you re still interested in reading Covenants Made Simple by Jonty Rhodes (you need not be at every gathering), please contact Pastor Drew! GEMS' classes continue to work on the Dolls badge and will be donating dolls and accessories to the Mitchell Area Safe House. Contributions of new or very gently used clean dolls will be accepted until March 18. Cleanable dolls only! If you would like to donate a doll and/or accessories, please put in the container provided in the Fellowship Hall. AREA ANNOUNCEMENTS A Grief Support Group will meet Monday, March 12 in the chapel at the Good Samaritan Society Corsica at noon. Lunch will be provided. If you have experienced a loss or are preparing for the loss of a loved one, please join us. REMNANT: Community Prayer Gathering: Calvary Baptist Church, Monday March 12, 7 PM. Topics: Unity, Love (John 13:34-35), and Physical Healing. For one-on-one prayer, doors open at 6:30 PM. If you know someone who would like us to pray for their physical healing, please let Tara Erickson or Pastor Dave Anderson know. Dakota Christian School will be having their annual Festival of Tables on Saturday, April 14th. The entertainment will be A Five Piano Extravaganza. Some of the area s finest pianists to participate are: Ivory Ries, Beth Maas, Kim Zomer, Rachel Faller, and Vicki Lubbers. Table viewing will begin at 5:30 PM followed by the meal at 6:00 PM. 6 Days for Girls sewing team will meet Friday, March 23 from 10:00-3:00 at the Platte Center Citizen s Center. Potluck noon lunch. There will be many jobs for non-sewers. Kits are being made for an orphanage at Uganda. Call Lois for more information. Mark your calendars for the annual Dakota s Got Talent night, Tuesday, March 13, at DCS. Pulled pork sandwiches and the trimmings ($6) will be served beginning at 6 PM. The talent portion will begin at 7 PM featuring DCS choirs, vocal and instrumental ensembles, solos and more. Donations will be used to support the DCS music program. Interested in working at Inspiration Hills as a Summer Staffer? Want to share God s love with campers & guests? Then we have the job for you! You will see God's hand move in the lives of individuals as He uses you. You will be challenged in your own walk with Christ. Check us out online at: inspirationhills.org Dakota Christian School Monthly Newsletter In an effort to save time and paper as well as to cut printing and postage costs, Dakota Christian School will be limiting its publishing of their monthly newsletter. Newsletters will be published three times a year (September, January, and May, starting with a May, 2018 edition) and will still be placed in church mailboxes, mailed, and updated on the school s website. Board minutes and school financial information will continue to be posted monthly on the Dakota Christian School website. The school s web address is dchs.net. Upcoming events will still be accessible in a variety of places, such as the calendar and daily announcements on the school website, in church bulletin announcements, DCS News in the local newspapers, and the DCS Facebook page.
