Psalm 66:4 WELCOME: On this fall day in October when the beautiful colors adorn the trees and the leaves of autumn are strewn over the ground, we worship our God from whom all blessings flow. A special welcome we extend to each one who visits with us. Please join us after our morning service for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. Children aged 3-5 meet your teacher in the foyer during the offering this morning for Children s Church. Please pause for a moment after the morning service to allow the children to exit for PreK-6th grade Sunday School. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES This morning, we want to welcome Pastor Jack Gary and his wife Wanda. Pastor Jack will be bringing us a message from Genesis 19:14-29 entitled God of the Mountains. This evening, he will be preaching from the book of 1 Samuel 23: His message is entitled Sela Hammahlekoth. Pastoral Care: Pastor Drew is gone on vacation and will be back Monday, October 8th. Please talk with your district elder if you have pastoral needs. PRAYERS AND PRAISES THANK YOU to all who came out and supported the DCS band for the Pancakes 'n Parade evening. It was a very fun night and the food wasn't half bad either. We praise God for the talents and the teacher He has given us and the joy we had serving you and Him that night. ~The DCS Band

5 Adult Bible Study welcomed! OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS begins TONIGHT! New members Fall Book Study: Books have arrived and are available above the mailboxes in the church entrance and a schedule of meetings is in your mailbox. If you did not sign up yet for the study, there are extra books! Please take one and contact Pastor Drew if you d still like to join! Men s Lunch: Several men have been meeting each Wednesday at noon for lunch and Scripture. If you haven t made it yet, there is never a point when it is too late to join whenever you can. Contact Pastor Drew with questions. AREA ANNOUNCEMENTS REMNANT: Community Prayer Gathering- Monday Oct. 8, 7-9 Calvary Baptist. Our Topic this month is Spiritual Warfare. Come and Go as you are able. Questions, Contact Pastor Dave Friends on a Mission will be meeting to put together kits on Friday, October 12 at the Platte Senior Citizen s Center from 10:00 2:00. There will be a potluck dinner at noon. For more information call Junior High Youth Group Small Group Night will be on Wednesday, Oct. 17. More details will be distributed on time and place of where each small group will meet. *If you have not signed a consent form for your child, we ask that you stop in at youth group to sign one so your child can participate! * Consent forms can also be printed from the Platte Junior High Community Youth Group Facebook page or by contacting Cindy Lucas Senior High Community Youth Group annual retreat will be held November 9-11 at Camp Lakodia by Madison, SD. 7 Cleaning out your closets? This is a great opportunity to share those Bibles & books that you no longer use with people in other countries who will use them & benefit from them! We are again receiving books & supplies for Love Packages. What kinds of materials are needed? Bibles (new & used), tracts, Reference books & commentaries, all Christian books, Bible Study books, Christian magazines, Sunday School supplies, Daily Devotionals, Christian CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray's (music, movies, teaching), Puppets, Noah s Ark, Bibles games, Nativity sets, puzzles (anything to present the gospel-especially to children). DO NOT SEND: VHS/tapes/records/8-tracks, Guideposts, handiwork or busy papers from Sunday School materials, secular books(other than dictionaries), mission magazines. For more information you can go to or contact Pat Vanderpol at Deadline is the end of November. The DCS Band Dept. is selling Dakota Tom Sandwiches for equipment and resource needs in the band department. There are four different types of sandwiches at $3 each. The sandwich orders need to be in on Monday, Oct. 8. The sandwiches will be delivered Wednesday, Oct. 17. Thank you! Soup Supper Fundraiser and a pie/baked good Auction on October 12 from 6-8 PM at Bethel Lutheran Church. This is Sydney Antonsen s senior project. Proceeds will go to Bethel s Women's Missionary Fellowship to support missionaries. The 1st Fall Inspiration Hills Auction is on October 26th! Please join us for an evening full of laughter, food, & fellowship. All money raised will go towards the Kitchen Remodeling Project!

Dakota Christian School educates children and young people from the perspective of God s Word, in the Holy Bible, in all subjects.
