Let us rejoice and be glad in it. To everyone worshipping with us on this Lord s Day, we extend a hearty welcome. May the Lord richly bless us as we worship and fellowship together and may His name be praised. Please join us for fellowship and refreshments after our morning service. The cookies today have been provided by the Kuiper s family in honor of Marion and Marie s 55th Anniversary! Children aged 3-5 meet your teachers in the foyer during the offering this morning for Children s Church. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES Today is the second part of our two week worship tune-up. Last Sunday morning we focused on the object of our worship, God Himself. Today, we turn it around to the subject of worship us as God s people. This morning we will hear Jesus identify The Kind of Worshipers the Father Seeks in John 4: Then, this evening, Amos 5:21-27 identifies The Kind of Worship the Father Hates. It is our prayer that today God, through His word, will tune our hearts to sing his praise! Next week, we will celebrate together the sacrament of communion in our morning worship. Afterward, our table fellowship will continue with a potluck here at church. All are invited and encouraged to join! PRAYERS AND PRAISES Don enjoyed reading the many 90th birthday cards he received. 5 OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS There are quite a few pans left from SERVE and other events. Please, take the time to go to the kitchen entry and look in the cupboard. Take home what is yours! POTLUCK DINNER: There will be a potluck dinner at our church next Sunday. Please bring a salad or dessert or both if you would like. Members of Group 4 please bring a casserole or meat dish along with a dessert or salad. As part of his summer apprenticeship, Chase Pheifer will be doing a class going through Titus. It will be an Adult Sunday School. There will be three classes on each chapter of Titus. The classes will be on July 22nd and August 5th & 12th, all starting at 11:45 AM. Any adult in church is invited, and you do not need to be at each class. No preparation is needed-just bring your Bible! Card Shower: The family of Leona Van Dusseldorp is requesting a card shower in honor of her 90th birthday on July 27. 6 AREA ANNOUNCEMENTS Members of the Platte Community and the Community High School Youth Group will be traveling to Mexico from July They will be staying at Mazahua Valley Ministries, just outside of Atlacomulco, Mexico. While in Mexico, youth and leaders will be working in the rural community of Xhinte de lago. In the morning and early afternoon, they will be working on a helping the congregation construct their own church building. Later in the afternoon, they will be running a VBS program for the local children. Pray for health and safety of the youth and leaders during their trip! New Hope is looking for volunteers to help at VBS on July 29, 30 & 31. We d need your help from 11am-3pm with crafts, games, science, or music and Bible! If you can help one day or all three, we d love to have you be a part of the fun! Helpers of all ages are welcome!
