Psalm 133:11 WELCOME: We welcome each and every worshipper here this morning as we gather in the name of Jesus Christ to praise and worship our Divine King and God. ABOUT OUR MESSAGES This morning, we welcome Rev. Justin DeBerry to our pulpit, as Pastor Drew is given the week off from preaching. He will be opening 1 John 4:7-21, preaching a message entitled God is Love. Rev. DeBerry is Senior Pastor at West Center Baptist Church in Madison, SD, and was a colleague of Pastor Drew at Westminster Seminary California. He and his wife, Kerrie, have four daughters. This evening, we will be joining the other area Reformed churches at Aurora Reformed Church in Aurora Center at 7:00PM. Rev. Dan DeGraff of Corsica CRC will be bringing the message. PRAYERS AND PRAISES Please be in prayer for Wilmer and Joan Niewenhuis as Wilmer begins 8 weeks of radiation treatments in Sioux Falls soon for recurring prostate cancer. Thank you for all the prayers, cards, expressions of sympathy and memorial gifts in memory of dad. ~The Family of Don Severson OUR ANNOUNCEMENTS High School Families: Beginning this fall, our high school Sunday School class will be meeting in the Family Room before church at 9:00 AM. Monday Morning Bible Study-will be starting, September 10 at 8:30 am in the family room. We will be studying The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer. It will be a 7 week study. All day, every day, an invisible war rages around you unseen, unheard, yet felt throughout every aspect of your life. A devoted, devilish enemy seeks to wreak havoc on everything that matters to you: your heart, your mind, your marriage, your children, your relationships, your resilience, your dreams, your destiny. The form is a few pages long, and is posted on our Facebook Page (Platte Community Junior High Youth Group). You can print and complete it at home if that is more convenient! Junior High Youth Group is looking for more mentors of both genders. There will a light supper of pizza and pop and then have three learning sessions that include: The Biblical qualifications of a deacon. Women are encouraged to come and help prepare these kits on Friday, September 7 from 10:00 3:00. Noon lunch is potluck. Call for more info.
