3 Thanksgiving baskets will be available to families in need. Please submit names and how many family members along with contact information to the office and watch for the table setup for a donation list in the Narthex beginning ctober 21st. These baskets provide a beautiful table for families in need this holiday season. The Christmas giving tree will have names of children from Big Brothers and Big Sisters who need gifts for Christmas. This wonderful expression of our faith will be in the Narthex by November 11. Last year over 25 children were given gifts. This year we hope to help 30 children. Thank you for your generosity. November is a time of giving thanks, and our life at church is no exception. To continue strengthening our ministry, the New Jersey Synod has given us a Grateful Board to encourage a spirit of thanksgiving here at Redeemer. When we take the time to say thank you - even for little things we all feel supported in our discipleship. Look for the white Grateful Board as it moves around the church buildings, and take a moment to read people s notes of thanks and to add your own thank-you note. *Thank you for your support of me, my family, and our shared ministry here at Redeemer. *Thank you for all that you do choir and bells practice, preparing Sunday School lessons, practicing your readings when you serve as deacon, ushering, greeting, cleaning, folding bulletins and newsletters, sending out birthday postcards, visiting the sick, serving food and coffee, bringing food for fellowship activities, stepping up to help with communion, mowing the lawn, serving on committees and Council, bringing communion to our homebound, setting up for Altar Guild, picking up trash, counting offering, setting up and taking down tables and chairs, helping with social media, leading crafts for our youth, chopping down ivy whew! This list is long! And I know I am missing many other ways you serve Christ here at Redeemer. *Thank you for who you are for your prayers, your generosity, and for making a commitment to grow in faith both as individuals and as a congregation who serve Christ and are not afraid to proclaim Christ through service in the community. I hear and see how much you give to the community with your time and talents at school, sports leagues, local non-profits, service groups, and simply in lending a hand to your neighbors. THANK YU! Let s keep the gratitude going and growing! In thanksgiving, Pastor Heather
