You bless us during all our stages of life. We pray today for the babies and children who need us to love, care, teach, and lead them. We ask you to guide people in all the adult times of life and lead them in the way you would have them go. We also pray today for the senior citizens in nursing homes, in assisted living residences, and those living on their own. Let them know that you are always with them. We especially pray for all your sheep who are at the end stage of life. Take them in your arms and peacefully lead them to your side. Lord in your mercy..hear our prayer.

Russ presented Sonya with a forged metal jewelry tree with three crosses underneath from the congregation to thank her for her year of service as president. 9 Yellow Rose A yellow rose is placed on the altar when a baby is born. William Ryan Boehringer was born Thursday, Jan 7, 2015, to Derek & Cassie Light Boehringer. Grandparents are Cindy & David Light. Uncle is Craig Light. Great-grandparents are Priscilla & William Light. Great-grandma Priscilla Light Cassie Light Boehringer and husband Derek brought baby William to church on January 24,

10 Jan 31, 2016 Fourth Sunday after the Epiphany Today we welcomed our new minister, Pastor Jeffray Greene, and his wife, Lorene, with a potluck lunch right after worship. Attendance was 139. 13 A note from M.O.M. Team For the past five years members of Word of God Lutheran Church have assembled Lutheran World Relief baby kits during the Lenten season. This year Lutheran World Relief is making a special plea for school supply kits. Due to this high need, the congregation will assemble 240 school kits at the annex immediately following the February 14th service. Each kit will consist of 4 spiral notebooks, ruler, pencil sharpener, scissors, pencils, pens, crayons, eraser and drawstring backpack. Items for each kit will be purchased using Mission Outreach Ministry funds. Education is certainly important for every community, especially where poverty or disaster has limited the options for those to reach their potential. The school kits we assemble will help children and in some cases adults, continue learning despite the hardships they face. This opportunity for learning leads to a better life for them, their families and their communities. Many hands are needed to make the school kit assembly a success. Please join the Mission Outreach Ministry team to assemble kits and offer these gifts, symbols of God s sacrificial grace and love this Lent. 13
