Trinity Lutheran Church teaches and confesses that although all people are imperfect, the Heavenly Father sent His Son Jesus Christ to live the perfect life for us, die on the cross in payment for our sins, and rise from the grave to open the door to eternal life. The Bible clearly teaches that those who live and believe in Jesus Christ have the promise of everlasting life in heaven. We offer two worship styles each Sunday: Traditional Services at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary and a Contemporary Service at 10:45 in the gym. We also offer a Wednesday evening Traditional Service at 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. We pray God will bless your worship and invite you to return and worship with us soon. If you are without a church home, we invite you to join us at Trinity Lutheran. We d consider it an honor and privilege to have you grow with us in the Christian faith. Please fill out a registration card located on the back of the pew in front of you and include your full name and address. Please introduce yourself to one of our Pastors after the service. Remote Hearing Units are available from the ushers. Please return them after the service. Children s Bulletins filled with activities geared to youngsters are available from the ushers. Staffed Infant/Toddler care is available in the Nursery for children ages three and under on Sundays during the 8:00 service, Sunday School (9:15), the 10:30 and 10:45 a.m. services. Busy Bags for the hands of small children are available at the Welcome Center (Traditional Services) and from the ushers (Contemporary Service). Bernice s address is: wobeg@buckeye-express.com. Lenten Service Schedule This year our Lenten services will follow the theme The Crucified King. Each of our services will begin at 4:30 and 7:00 p.m. Below are the dates of the services and the theme for each sermon. Please plan now to join us as we prepare our hearts. Wednesday, March 12 th The King Betrayed Wednesday, March 19 th The King Denied Wednesday, March 26 th The King Condemned Wednesday, April 2 nd The King Mocked Wednesday, April 9 th The King on the Cross Lent Soup Suppers will be offered each week from 5:00 6:30 p.m. Please plan to join us for this meal and fellowship.

2 Contemporary Altar Flowers are donated today by Fred & Leslie Wilt to honor the Lord for blessing them on their 29 th anniversary and in memory of Shirley Chizmadia s birthday. Lenten Devotional Booklet. On each of our Welcome Centers is a devotional booklet titled The Crucified King, which is the theme of this year s Lenten services. Please be sure and pick up a copy for your home devotions. On Sunday, April 6 th Trinity will celebrate Concordia University Sunday here at Trinity! In preparation for that event, please consider the following as your student looks for a College or University to attend. The Concordia University System annually publishes the Viewbook, which features each Concordia College and University through pictures and important institutional information. It is a good resource for talking about Lutheran higher education in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Please call , ext. 1252, or cus.info@lcms.org for copies. Also, located on the turnstyle in the Narthex are informational booklets to help you in your decision. Confirmation Students--During the rest of the Lenten Season, students in the 6 th grade (pre-confirmation class) and 2 nd year confirmation class will have review from 5:30 6:15 p.m., and the 7 th grade class will be assisting with the Lenten meals as a service to our church, following a pre-set schedule, which was handed out to the students last week. If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Kleimola. Young adults (college age) are invited to attend a Bible Study/fellowship gathering here at Trinity each Thursday evening. This Thursday, please join Pastor Burfeind in the Luther Room (East entrance of the building). The study is from 7 9:00 p.m. The group is studying the Book of Revelation. Attention all current 8th-12th Graders planning on attending the High School All Nations Outreach Summer Trip July 20th -25th. Please remember to turn in your registration form and deposit check to Pastor Kleimola today, 3/9/14. There are trip information sheets and registration forms on the Youth Room bulletin board. If you want to go on the trip but haven't completed your registration or have any trip related questions please call Gary Paulsen at Do you manage funds for Trinity Lutheran Church? Whether you work on a special project or a one-time fundraiser, your account needs to be reviewed by the Financial Review Committee to assure your program or event continues to qualify for tax exempt status. Please contact any member of the committee and tell us about your program. Teacher Call Committee. Mrs. Sandy Schefft has announced her plans to retire at the end of this school year. As we thank God for her faithful service and look to the future, Trinity Lutheran School Board, in accordance with the church constitution, is forming a Teacher Call Committee for a position beginning with the school year. The retreat will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3934 Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio. Our retreat leaders are Karen Boerger and Annetta Dellinger who will lead Christ-centered sessions on the theme "Rejuvenating the Weary Soul." These topics will give: Tips on Stress Busters - to calm the stress in your life! Where do we find "Joy" during challenging times, (the Spiritual Side)?; How do we deal with emotions when given unwelcome news (the Emotional Side)? and 101 Ideas to show you care! This retreat has something for everyone, no matter your station in life. The retreat begins with registration at 9:00 a.m. and opening devotion at 9:30 a.m. The registration fee of $15.00 includes lunch at noon. 3 Guatemala Ministry Corned Beef Dinner Is Coming! On Sunday, March 16 th, plan not to cook and to join your fellow members and friends for a corned beef dinner to be held after the 10:45 service. The cost is just $7.00 for each adult and $4.00 for children. Tickets will be on sale outside the Narthex and Gym. Come and enjoy a wonderful meal and support our Guatemala Ministry. The LWML Toledo Zone has scheduled a work/service day on April 5 th at King of Glory Lutheran Church, 6517 Brint Road, Sylvania, Ohio. We will begin at 10:30 a.m. and you may work two, three, or four hours. Bring a sack lunch. Join ladies from the Toledo Zone as we Make/Tie/Finish Quilts; Make MOST Mission Bead Bracelets; and learn of other Human Care Projects. You don t need to be able to sew as the quilt tops are ready to be tied and all you need to do is use scissors, tie knots or string beads, etc. Donations of fleece fabric in 5 or 6 foot lengths will be appreciated. On Tuesday, April 8 th Altar Guild welcomes your assistance with making Palm crosses for our services on Sunday, April 13 th. Please join them for fellowship, food and laughter as we make the crosses. Please bring a pair of scissors if you are able. Everything else will be provided.
