3 TODAY AT FAITH This morning we re continuing our Standing on the Promises sermon series by looking at past, present, and future promises that we experience in the Lord s Supper. Also this morning we have an opportunity to celebrate the Lord s Supper or Communion. In our Communion celebration at Faith first the bread and then the wine will be distributed by our elders. As Jesus unites all believers through His work, we will eat and drink each element in unison, when indicated by the pastor. For those who prefer grape juice instead of wine, it can be found at the center of each tray. If you are a guest this morning, and a professing member of Jesus in another Bible-believing church, you are welcome to join us at the Lord s Table today. If you have not professed Christ as your Savior in His Church, we ask that you not partake of the sacrament, and encourage you to talk to a pastor or elder about what it means to belong to Jesus so that you can join God s people at the table in the future. This evening we continue in our study of Romans continuing our theme from two weeks ago, The Battle Rages On, as we hear God s Word at 7: OFFERINGS Today: AM: Timothy Christian School. PRAYER & PRAISE After the morning service, if you have prayer needs, please visit room 1 on the north side of the sanctuary. We extend our Christian sympathy to Ralph Van Kampen and family on the passing of his wife Georgia this past Wednesday. Family visiting hours will be this Tuesday here at Faith from 9:00 11:00 AM with services immediately following at 11:00 AM. John De Vries is not getting any stronger and tends to walk very slowly. His mind is sharp, but while his body is weak, his love for the Lord gets stronger every day. Please keep John & Kathy in your prayers. Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens. Psalm 68:19 Ken Van Byssum, Jr., returned home from the hospital last week, but is still very tired and weak. Pray for increased strength for Ken, and for good options for continued treatment. Stella Van Tholen is at Good Samaritan Hospital with pneumonia. She s planning to return to Providence soon. Jerry Wieringa continues to recover at Lexington Square in Elmhurst following knee replacement surgery. Remember to pray for those who are unable to join us in worship. Today we think of John Gorter who lives in Saratoga Grove Retirement Center. Happy Birthday to Peter Voss (86) on June 10, John Gorter (87) on June 20, Shirley Vroom (89) on June 22 and Jack Vos (80) on June 23.

Our 8 th Grade Graduates include Carli Allen, Nicole Allen, Savannah Baron, Lauren Gehrke, Morgan Hoving, Jake Huisman, Trevor Lehmann, Ernie Monaco, Justin Smykowski, Ben Tobin, and Grace Veenstra. Our High School graduates include Ashley Allen, Katherine Belitz, Cassidy Bulthuis, Linnea Cintron, Zachary Erdman, Kaitlyn Gehrke, Heidi Huiner, Maty Huisman, Marina Pawela, Sarah Printz, and Andrew Wieringa. Our College Graduates include Cathy Heerdt, Taylor Hoogendoorn, Justin Loerop, Jonathan Penczak, Mark Penczak, Kyla Smits, Brooke Tobin, and Kacey Wieringa. ANNOUNCEMENTS The Gathering Sub Sale ends today, May 31. Orders can be placed through any youth group member or by filling out a form on the signup desk. Delicious Sub Sandwiches are only $5.00 each. You can pick up your subs on June 6 between 10:00 AM & 1:00 PM. We are again planning to send a team of adults to Tapestries of Life Ministries in Mexico for a serve project on September If you are interested in joining this team, please contact Greg & Lynda Lanenga, for more details. The Gathering is looking for used patio furniture to use at the house. If you are replacing yours this year, we would be happy to pick up your old ones and give them a new home. The kids have various outdoor activities planned for the summer and could use a place to sit. Contact the church office, From the Board of Directors of the UCCA on May 16, we provided 90 local families with food from the Northern Illinois Food Bank s Mobile Food Pantry and each received a dental product which pleased them very much! They are deeply grateful to our church for our generosity and kindness.
