2 Readings for September 2, 2018 First Reading: Deuteronomy 4:1-2,6-8 (125B) Second Reading: James 1:17-18, 21b-22, 27 Gospel: Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, First Friday is September 7, 2018 Masses at Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace Church will be at 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Confessions will be heard before both Masses. To promote solemn veneration of the Eucharist, Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will follow the 9:00 am Mass and continue throughout the day until the 5:30 pm Mass. First Saturday Devotions will be held after the 9:00 am Liturgy of the Word with Communion on September 1, 2018 ADULT BIBLE STUDY If you would like to have a deeper relationship with God and a better understanding of your faith, then join us for Unlocking the Mystery of the Bible. You will not only benefit personally from being part of this study; you will also help to bring about a profound renewal in our parish as we grow closer to Christ. We meet every evening in church at 7pm. We start with a hymn 'Come Holy Ghost, then the Rosary. After the rosary, a reading from Fr. Gobbi's Blue book of Messages (has an imprimatur by Bishop +Donald W. Montrose, D.D.), with a short reflection by a priest or deacon present, then we recite the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. A reading from Scripture follows, then we recite a Divine Mercy chaplet and a closing Hymn. It takes one hour!
