3 Christmas Floral Remembrances Queen of Peace and St. Veronica s, will again be inviting our parishioners to make contributions towards the cost of the flowers that decorate our Altars in both churches. If you would like to remember a loved one, please fill out a Christmas Flower Offering Envelopes that are located at the entrances of your churches. The Memorial list will be included with the bulletin the weekend of December 25, Please place your envelope in the collection basket by December 11, 2016 Altar & Rosary presents: Christmas Cookie Sale Sugar & Spice and Everything Nice When: Saturday & Sunday December 10/11,2016 After all Masses Where: Queen of Peace & St. Veronica Churches CHRISTMAS ANGEL PROGRAM If you have children 13 years old or younger, who need a brighter Christmas, come to the Rectory on Thursdays and bring with you proof of address, children's birth certificates, names, ages and sizes. We will ask our parishioners to help and purchase clothes and a age appropriate toys for the child. ANGEL TAGS ARE AVAILABLE Those parishioners wishing to help please call or come in to the Rectory for a tag for a child/ family in need. If you would like to help but would like someone else to do the shopping you can make a monitory donation, just place your donation in an envelope marked CHRISTMAS ANGLE PROGRAM and place it in the collection baskets during any Mass. This year we are also asking some parishioners to help a few families, parents included, with a small token gift and Christmas dinner baskets. 4 Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 6PM Queen of Peace Parish Hall Sponsored by the Queen of Peace and St. Veronica Altar & Rosary Society We invite all the Societies, Councils, ministries and parishioners of our parish to join us for our Christmas Celebration in the Queen of Peace Parish Hall This will be our first covered dish affair and we hope many will join us and make this a successful affair. There is a limit on the number of people we can hold in the hall, so make your reservations early. As in previous years we will be collecting wrapped Christmas gifts for both men and women to be distributed to the residents of local assisted living and nursing homes. Please bring these with you to the dinner. Remember, no food or candy since many of the residents are on special diets! Any questions and to make reservations, please call Meg at or Carole Ann at If no answer, leave your name and phone number for a return call. RESERVATION DEADLINE DECEMBER 4, 2016 Parishioners are invited to have a Mass said for the intentions of a deceased member of the family, honor a loved one, intention of healing or for a special occasion ( Wedding Anniversary). They are accepted on a first-come, firstserved basis. The Mass stipend is $ Mass intentions are published weekly in the bulletin. If you have scheduled an intention for a loved one at a specific Mass and would like to bring up the gifts, please introduce yourself to one of the ushers before Mass begins. Again this year, thanks to the generosity of our parish, we were able to donate additional funds to the three food pantries we support to be used for turkeys, hams, and other Thanksgiving dinner fixins. With your continued support we will also be to make Christmas dinner a memorable feast for the needy in our community. Thank you for your continued support of the Bag a Month (BAM) Food Ministry. Due to the Flu Season We ask you not to shake hands with the Priest, Deacons, Altar Servers and Eucharistic Ministers before/after Mass. During the Sign of Peace just use an acknowledgement to each other, like a nod or a wave.
