3 SEASONS OF HOPE A Sacred Journey from grief to healing A Support Group for the Bereaved When we lose a loved one by death, we are wounded. Just as a wound does, we need to heal from within, to express our thoughts and feelings, even when they seem crazy. We need to recognize that crazy is normal. Knowing this will not lessen your grief, but it may help your healing to begin. A support group is a safe haven where we can talk, cry, share our guilt, and fears with those who understand and care. It comforts while we heal. Our ministry of encouragement provides a blessing of support to those we minister to by saying: We are here to offer information, to listen, to share feelings, and to support one another Bereavement Support Group Meets: October 10 17, 24, 31 November 7, 14. Meetings run from 9:30 am 11:30 am (after the 9:00 daily Mass) Some topics Understanding the stages of grief and coping with feelings that accompany each. Surviving stress and loneliness. We will be helping our own Monsignor Kelly stock the St. Francis of Assisi Pantry which feeds over 500 families a month! It is the only self choice pantry in NEPA. Many families living at or below poverty level suffer from health issues related to poor nutrition. In building the healthy choice options, we will help care for others as we care for our own.
