1 Sunday, April 1, 2018 Easter Sunday I am the vine, you are the branches. Saint Isaac Jogues Parish is a branch of the true vine, Jesus Christ. Our goal is to continue to build the kingdom of God while recognizing the need to remain in Christ. God has chosen us to go forth and bear much fruit, through our ministries of Liturgy, Faith Formation, Service, Stewardship, and Evangelization Metanoia a profound, transformation and conversion. It means a complete turning around and heading in a new direction. Metanoia involves a transformation on at least three levels: a transformation of my way of seeing, a transformation of my relationships and a transformation of my hopes. This threefold transformation is at the heart of the Gospel. Question to ponder: How might I be transformed by this Easter experience? What new life is God inviting me to? Our children are ready to celebrate their First Eucharist at Masses next weekend. Please keep them and their families in your prayers as they prepare for this sacrament. MIDDLE SCHOOL YOUTH GROUP will be held on Tuesday, April 10, from 5:00-6:30 PM in the Kateri Room. RISE UP! There will be a bus trip in May for Middle School youth. 6 ECUMENICAL AND INTERFAITH PRAYER SERVICE WITH ARCHBISHOP LORI: On Thursday, April 12, at 7:00 PM at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, Archbishop Lori will be hosting an Ecumenical and Interfaith Prayer Service for the Commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. It will feature Rev. Dr. Raphael Gamaliel Warnock, the Senior Pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA, which was the spiritual home of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. All are invited to join in this time of prayer and remembrance. 7 ANNUAL BULL ROAST AND SHRIMP FEAST: Join St. Anthony of Padua, St. Dominic and Most Precious Blood parishes for an afternoon of good food and fun. The annual event will be held on Sunday, April 15, from 2:00-6:00 PM. The afternoon will include game wheels, a silent auction, DJ Edge. The cost is $39 per person. The CARDINAL CUP 5K RUN AND FAMILY FUN 1-MILE WALK will take place on Saturday, April 21, beginning at 8:00 AM at the School of the Cathedral, 111 Amberly Way. Race day packet pick-up and registration will begin a 7:00 AM. Each year, the School of the Cathedral hosts the Cardinal Cup run and walk to support Mother Seton Academy; 100 percent of the sponsorship donations goes directly to the school. SPAGHETTI DINNER: St. Joseph, Fullerton, is hosting a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, April 21, from 5:30-7:30 PM in their parish center. Pacione Foundation will sponsor a 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, April 14 event starts at 9:30 and the wine tasting begins at 12 noon. Come for a day of racing, walking, a kid s event, and a complimentary wine tasting to wrap up the day.
