THE SACRAMENT OF THE EUCHARIST Saturday, Evening: 5:00 pm Sunday: 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm Weekdays: Monday through Friday: 7:15 & 9:00 am (Day Chapel) Weekends: Saturday morning: 9:00 am (Day Chapel) Holy Days of Obligation: 7:15 am, 9:00 am, 12:10 pm & 7:30 pm. THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) Saturday: 4:00-4:30 pm Other times by appointment THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM Pre-Baptismal Instruction for Parents: Held prior to Baptism (Call the Parish Office for schedules and further information) Baptisms The Sacrament of Baptism is administered on the last Sunday of each month at 1:30 pm except during Advent and Lent. THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY The Sacrament of Matrimony is celebrated for parishioners. The couple are to contact the priest at least six (6) months prior to the ceremony. THE SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK AND MINISTRY TO THE SICK & ELDERLY The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing., expressing love of God and our Church for the sick, our shut-ins and the elderly. For the SERIOUSLY ILL and dying, contact the Priory. Communion will be brought on Sundays to the home of any person permanently or temporarily homebound. CHRISTIAN HOSPITALITY Welcome to the Transfiguration Community. Please register at the Priory. Registering and weekly participating are ways of acquiring a true sense of belonging to our parish community. A record of active membership is a necessary requirement for marriage in the Parish Church, testimonial letters for Baptismal/Confirmation sponsors. If you move or change address, please notify us. 4 EMHCs UPDATE: Last week, I published a list of the EMHCs who currently serve our parish; however, I forgot to include the people below. This is not such a bad thing, as my error illustrates that this list will constantly evolve as we train more EMHCs. Communication technology, its places, its instruments, have brought with it a lengthening of horizons, a widening, for so many people. It can offer immense possibilities for encounter and solidarity. May the digital Network not be a place of alienation. May it be a concrete place rich in humanity. Let us pray together that social networks may work towards that inclusiveness which respects others for their differences. The 2019 Mass Intention Book will be opening on Monday, June 18th. St. Vincent DePaul Society: June s meeting has been moved to June 14th at 7:00 PM Our collection will take place next weekend, June 16th & 17th. Please remember to bring your donations and place them min the green bin in the vestibule. A list of items that are most needed is near the bin. Envelopes for monetary donations are also in the vestibule. **Don t forget to buy Stop & Shop Gift Cards and C-Town Certificates from the Priory Office before going food shopping. Our Church earns 5% of all that are sold!** PROMISES Today s liturgy is full of promises. The reading from Genesis promises a final triumph over the power of sin and a return to a new creation. The reading from Second Corinthians promises that all who follow Christ will have to struggle. It also promises, however, that we can persevere if we but recognize that Christ is within us, renewing us daily, and giving us the courage and the strength we need to endure. The Gospel promises that doing God s will makes us family with Jesus, who forgives all sin and triumphs over evil. Today might be a good day for us to make some promises as well. We can promise to stop kidding ourselves about our own tendencies to selfishness and sin. We can promise ourselves to believe really believe that while we are not sinless, we are forgiven. We can promise ourselves to combat evil and sin by acting as sisters and brothers not only to the Lord, but to one another as well. Copyright J. S. Paluch Co., Inc.
