Through our participation in public worship we are nourished by the Word and the Body of the Lord. We are called to share what we have received by evangelization and by good works to those in need. THE SACRAMENT OF THE EUCHARIST Saturday, Evening: 5:00 pm Sunday: 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 pm Weekdays: Monday through Friday: 7:15 & 9:00 am (Day Chapel) Weekends: Saturday morning: 9:00 am only Holy Days of Obligation: 7:15 am, 9:00 am, 12:10 pm & 7:30 pm. THE SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION (Confession) Saturday: 3:00-4:00 pm Other times by appointment THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM Pre-Baptismal Instruction for Parents: Held prior to Baptism (Call the Parish Office for schedules and further information) Baptisms The Sacrament of Baptism is administered on the last Sunday of each month at 1:30 pm except during Advent and Lent. THE SACRAMENT OF MATRIMONY The Sacrament of Matrimony is celebrated for parishioners. The couple are to contact the priest at least six (6) months prior to the ceremony. PRIORY OFFICE HOURS Monday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm, Tuesday 9:00 am to 400 pm Wednesday & Thursday 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Saturday: 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm Sunday: 9:00 am to 1:30 pm Closed on all holidays. THE SACRAMENT OF THE ANOINTING OF THE SICK AND MINISTRY TO THE SICK & ELDERLY The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing., expressing love of God and our Church for the sick, our shut-ins and the elderly. For the SERIOUSLY ILL and dying, contact the Priory. Communion will be brought on Sundays to the home of any person permanently or temporarily homebound. CHRISTIAN HOSPITALITY Welcome to the Transfiguration Community. Please register at the Priory. Registering and weekly participating are ways of acquiring a true sense of belonging to our parish community. A record of active membership is a necessary requirement for marriage in the Parish Church, testimonial letters for Baptismal/Confirmation sponsors. If you move or change address, please notify us. 3 SEVENTH SUNDAY OF EASTER A celebration of couples of the parish: Saturday, May 5, we offered an evening for couples, where husbands and wives would have the opportunity to have a break from their regular routine to be nourished physically, romantically and spiritually. Our team of Pat Nyarady, Steve Brabazon, Alice Blood, Diane Windas, and Ed and Barbara McEneney put together a wonderful evening of food, fun, and spirituality, with the support and help of their spouses and other volunteers, including Marge Murphy. Three of our Marymount sisters offered childminding services for the 26 couples who attended. This was followed by a delicious meal which everyone enjoyed tremendously.

4 Our presentation for the evening was given by Deacon John Coughlin and his wife Pat, a couple who have worked in couples ministry for 15 years in the diocese of Buffalo, who helped the group to reflect on Staying in Love. After an informative talk, the couples had the opportunity to reflect on their own experiences and share with one another and with the group. After a blessing by Deacon Couglin, the couples had the opportunity to dance the night away to their wedding songs. On behalf of the parish, I wish to thank the team and their volunteers for all of their hard work. The evening would have only remained a nice idea without their creativity, efforts, and dedication. I also thank all of the couples for taking a chance. There was a wonderfully positive and relaxed energy during the evening, and a strong sense that more should be done to help our married couples. We look forward to building on this energy and plan further activities in the future. I pray that we may continue to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit as we strive to serve all of the members of our community. -- Fr. We need their testimony regarding the truth of the Gospel and their example of expressing their faith by practicing solidarity. Let us give thanks for the lay people who take risks, who are not afraid and who offer reasons for hope to the poorest, to the excluded, to the marginalized. Let us pray together this month that the lay faithful may fulfill their specific mission, the mission that they received in Baptism, putting their creativity at the service of the challenges of today s world. There will be games, inflatables and food for sale and all the proceeds will go to support patients and their families impacted by this disease. At 6:00 PM, we invite all survivors and their loved ones to take m a lap to show them our support and to 10:30 PM at the Luminaria Ceremony we will take a moment to remember those we lost and encourage those who are still battling.
