The woman pleaded with Elijah who took the son and prayed over him. When the child revived Elijah returned him to his mother who recognized Elijah as "a man of God." Second Reading: Galatians 1:11-19 Paul proclaims the gospel, not as human, but coming from the revelation of Jesus Christ. Paul continues to acknowledge his own sinfulness and call to grace. Gospel: Luke 7:11-17 The gospel continues to recount the miracles and healing powers of Jesus. As Jesus neared the gates to the city of Nain, they came upon a deceased young man who was being carried out of the city. His mother, a widow, and a large crowd accompanying the body, met Jesus on the way. Compassionately, Jesus comforts the weeping mother and restores life to the dead man. Many of you already pay your bills electronically this is no different. Contact you banking institution to set this up. The bank will send your parish a check for the amount you have indicated on the day you have selected. Some people do this weekly, others monthly. But I won t have anything to put in the collection basket. Starting with the next budget envelope packet, there will be a box to check off on each envelope that reads I gave electronically. You can use this to place in the collection if you choose. What benefit is there to electronic giving? Giving electronically on a set schedule not only makes is easier for you it also assists the parishes when planning budgets. The budget packet will also be a budget aid to you, letting you know in advance when there is a special second collection for the parish or a Diocesan or National collection. St. Theresa Feast: August 5 th, 6 th, and 7 th Picnic of the Parishes: August 21 st WOMEN S GUILD UPCOMING YEAR Members of the Women's Guild of St. Christopher's and St. Theresa's will gather at the 9:30 Mass on June 5th, which is being offered for the deceased members of the Guild. New Officers for the upcoming year are: Pauline Nadeau and Kathy Gallagher, co-presidents, Annette Nedeau, secretary, Lori Noyes, treasurer. We express our thanks to outgoing co-presidents Kary Miksis and Pat Karp for their hard work and commitment during the past two years. Please mark your calendars for Monday, August 1st. There will be a planning meeting at 6:30pm in St. Christopher's hall. All women of St. Christopher's and St. Theresa's are welcome to come and share their ideas. CONGRATULATIONS TO ABBY SWASS Altar server at St. Theresa who won the Gold Medal in the post-secondary Skills USA Commercial Baking Competition at both the local and state levels. Skills USA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Abby will now compete on a national level in Kentucky on June 20 th. We wish her well! WORLD YOUTH DAY FUN RAISER CAR WASH (Donation) This Sunday, June 5 th, from 9-12noon, in St Theresa parking lot, a Car Wash is being held to support our youth going to World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland in July.

May CD is now available, How to Talk about Same Sex Marriage. Catholic apologist Trent Horn carefully considers same-sex marriage and provides an in-depth discussion that addresses the misconceptions held by many in our society today. This examination of what marriage really is, and what it is not, provides a truly gracious and persuasive response to the debate surrounding this important topic. The CD s along with other informational pamphlets and prayer cards can be found in the stand at the back of each church. A good will offering would be appreciated BUT NOT NECESSARY. If after you have enjoyed the CD and don t want to keep it, please pass it on or return it to the CD holder for someone else s use.
