He states that although they departed in tears, God will lead them all back and protect them, because he is father to Israel. Second Reading: Hebrews 5:1-6 Each high priest is taken from among people and offers sacrifices for their sins. High priests do not choose to take on this honor, but are chosen by God. Even Christ did not choose this office, but was chosen by God to be a priest forever. Gospel: Mark 10:46-52 A blind beggar approached Jesus and pleaded that Jesus heal him. Jesus called the man over and said, Your faith has healed you. The man immediately received his sight and proceeded to follow Jesus up the road. If after you have enjoyed the CD and don t want to keep it, please pass it on or return it to the CD holder for someone else s use. A great time to enjoy the CD s is during your work commute. WYD 2016 Fundraiser In an effort to raise money for our youth who will be traveling to Poland for World Youth Day 2016, we are asking that you please consider donating your empty/used Inkjet and Laser Cartridges to us. These must be genuine Inkjet and Laser Cartridges (no Staples brands, etc.) Cartridges can be collected from home, work, friends or neighbors. This will allow us to raise much needed funds as well as help protect the environment. Inkjet Cartridges should be placed in a zip lock bag or wrapped in cellophane to prevent leakage. 5 Adoration Dates and topic MORE EVENTS Women s Guild The next meeting of the Women s Guild will take place on Monday, November 2 nd at 6:30 p.m. in St. Christopher Church Hall. The evening will be centered on our Catholic faith and will include recitation of the Holy Rosary. Please feel free to bring along light refreshments as we share a Blessed Evening United in Faith, Fellowship and Friendship. We welcome new members of both parishes with open arms and hearts. We are an awesome group of spiritual, friendly and fun women who gather together (on a monthly basis) in God s Spirit! Please come and share the experience! SHOPPING FOR GIFT CARDS Back by popular demand, St. Theresa Church will be selling Gift Cards for parishioners from both parishes to purchase for your holiday shopping. Get your list ready for your gift buying for Christmas for people on your gift list or for doing your own grocery shopping for the upcoming holidays, or for birthdays or anniversaries coming up. Give a list to your co-workers so we can help them too! Order sheets will be in the next two weeks bulletins, or extras found in the back of both churches. Orders may be returned in the collection baskets, or at either Rectory, or to Jean Cameron before Masses the weekends of Nov. 7 & 8 AND Nov. 14 & 15. Deadline for returning orders is Sunday, Nov. 15. Saint Raphael Academy cordially invites all interested 7th and 8th grade students and parents to our Open House on Sunday, November 1, 2015 from 1-4 pm. To allow enough time to see all the facets of our campus, families are encouraged to arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. The last tour of the day will begin at 3 pm. No registration is required. We are able to meet our current and future needs because of your most generous response. This past year at St. Theresa we were able to make improvements due to your generosity such as: a new and welcoming St. Theresa Church sign, replacement of old and leaking windows in the rectory, replacement of the old and inefficient furnace in the rectory, and other smaller but just as necessary repairs and maintenance projects. Please know that I take the job of caretaker of our buildings here at St. Theresa seriously and am mindful that regular maintenance and repair are vital in preserving our beautiful Church and rectory. Your financial assistance enables me to watch over them with love and care, always looking forward to the future. Beginning next weekend each family will receive a letter from me to start off our 2015 Annual Appeal.
