He explains that spiritual riches will come to those who are kind to their mother and father. Second Reading: Colossians 3:12-21 Paul advises us to treat each other with kindness and mercy and to forgive as God forgives us. His words remind families to always love and respect one another and let Christ s peace reign in their hearts and in their homes. Gospel: Luke 2:41-52 When Jesus was twelve years old, the Holy Family traveled to Jerusalem to celebrate the feast. Jesus did not return with the company. Instead, he stayed in Jerusalem, sitting among the teachers while amazing them with his understanding and questions. When found by his concerned parents, Jesus reminded them that he must be in the house of his Father. Returning together, Mary kept these things in her heart. HOLY EUCHARIST With the advent of the Flu season, as in years past, we will discontinue the offering of the Precious Blood at Mass and reinstate it during Holy Week at the celebration of Holy Thursday. ~ Our Lady of Guadalupe ~ Many people have heard of Our Lady of Guadalupe, but few people know her story. In this talk, speaker and catechist Luis Soto (who himself was born and raised in Mexico) shares the little -known history and life-changing importance of Mary s appearance to a peasant man named Juan Diego, and the miraculous image she left behind. Loved by millions (including St. John Paul II), Our Lady of Guadalupe is a patron and example of how to share the Gospel with the whole world. CD s and other pamphlets are available in the stand at the back of both churches. Please feel free to take one. When you are done, you may keep it or return it to be passed on. There is a box available for a freewill offering. BEREAVEMENT GROUP We have received word that the Bereavement Group at St. Lucy Church has been cancelled indefinitely. SUNDAYPARISH ANNUAL BUS PILGRIMAGE The Diocese of Providence is preparing for their Annual Bus Pilgrimage to Washington, D.C. for the 46th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Registration must be completed by January 11, ANNUAL DIOCESAN RESPECT LIFE MASS The Annual Diocesan Respect Life Mass will be held on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 9:00 am at the Cathedral of SS. CHILDREN S LITURGY LEADERS We are seeking parishioners who would like to be a leader of our Children s Liturgy that takes place at the 11 mass on Sunday morning at St. Theresa Church.
