Originally ministering to the newlyarrived Irish, our parish family has grown over its long history, continuing to welcome new brothers and sisters in Christ, most recently those of Hispanic and Vietnamese heritage. We are striving to build a more united community of believers while incorporating the individual ethnic traditions of our entire parish family. While we recognize our diversity we also recognize our oneness in the Lord, our unity in faith. Through our celebration of the Eucharist, in spiritual, educational and cultural opportunities, and through the service organizations of the parish, we attempt to live out the Gospel message and to be an example of Christ's presence in our community. Saint John the Baptist Parish Mission Statement We celebrate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ centered in the Eucharist, Sacraments and prayer. We teach the Gospel in order to strengthen the faith of each individual in their knowledge of and in their relationship with God. We live the Gospel by loving each other, granting forgiveness, and doing works of service and charity. All are welcome to attend. Easy to access the Chapel through the Lower Level entrance off of Brown Avenue. Rosary is prayed Monday to Friday at 11:30a.m. It does not matter if you have never prayed the rosary; all are invited to experience and pray the rosary. This new Chapel in Haverhill is a place for meditation and prayer not only for the patients, family and staff, but for the community as well. All are welcome! Volunteer Opportunity with Our Seniors. Chúng ta hiệp dâng Thánh Lễ, hân hoan mừng kính Một Chúa Ba Ngôi. Xin cho chúng ta hết lòng tin kính thờ phượng, và nhiệt tâm đem Chúa Ba Ngôi đến cho mọi người. Phúc Âm: Mt 28, 1620 "Làm phép rửa cho họ, nhân danh Cha và Con và Thánh Thần". Bài kết thúc Tin Mừng Chúa Giêsu Kitô theo Thánh Matthêu. Mầu nhiệm Thiên Chúa Ba Ngôi là một mầu nhiệm của tình yêu và đã được Ðức Giêsu mạc khải. Tình yêu Thiên Chúa Ba Ngôi được thể hiện trong chương trình cứu độ: Chúa Cha ban sáng kiến Chúa Con thực hiện và Chúa Thánh thần chuyển thông ơn cứu độ. Ðón nhận được tình yêu của Thiên Chúa Ba Ngôi, chúng ta sẽ sống với tất cả tâm tình người con thảo hiếu. Lòng tin và yêu mến ấy phải thể hiện bằng đời sống cầu nguyện, kết hiệp với Ðức Giêsu và trong sự hướng dẫn của Chúa Thánh Thần. The Saint Vincent de Paul Society is very grateful to those who contribute to our boxes in the vestibules of both churches, and for the memorial gifts we receive. As an all volunteer lay group, we are able to use 99% of these funds to help neighbors who need to catch up with rent and utilities, especially after this tough winter. On the second Saturday of each month, the Parish Center serves as a distribution site for free diapers from the Haverhill chapter of the Anchor of Hope. Because we get more requests than Anchor of Hope can provide, we supplement with diapers contributed by parishioners. Sizes 5 and 6, pullups for toddlers and diaper wipes are most needed. A clean, dry baby is (usually) a happy baby! Our free clothing center in the Parish Center (off the Cottage Street parking lot) is open every Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30am. We accept all donations, but are particularly needing men s clothing and infant s and children s summer clothing. Thank you for suppor t- ing the Saint Vincent de Paul Society!
