NICHOLAS FAITHFUL & VISITORS! SUNDAY OF THE LAST JUDGMENT is the reading of the Gospel passage in Matthew where Christ describes a portion of our final Judgment. All nations will be gathered before Him and as a shepherd with His sheep and the goats, He will separate them one from another. He uses criteria: feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, clothing the naked, and visiting the sick and imprisoned. He identifies with everyone in need, having taken on those needs Himself in His earthly life. To deny these things to anyone is to deny them to Christ Himself. Let us give glory to God in the Divine, that we may continue to anticipate the life in the world to come! Amen. Please bring any notetaking materials and a personal copy of the Holy Scriptures. We are continuing our study of Moses & his connection to Jesus Christ, ahead of our showing of The Ten Commandments (1956) on April 7 th & 14 th. Orthodox Study Bibles are still available at the Gift Shop for only $37 each. SUNDAY SCHOOL will take place following Holy Communion at Divine. PANACHIDA will follow Divine in honor of +AllSouls Saturday yesterday, where we will offer up prayers for departed hierarchs and parish family. The Deanery requires $85 to reserve a twoway trip on the camp bus, which will likely leave from our sister parish of Sts Peter & Paul in Rockaway, NJ on Sunday, July 21 st. Contact Fr. William directly to inform him of your seat reservation, he will send you payment instructions for the Deanery. FORGIVENESS VESPERS, 1:30 PM: As we take our first official step into Great Lent, we will celebrate together here in our parish home and have invited other sister parishes from the deanery to join us. It will be followed with the traditional exchange of asking forgiveness from one another and the kiss of peace. We will invite our brothers & sisters downstairs We are still hosting AARP Foundation TaxAide in our St. Nicholas Church Hall, in an effort to help them in their battle against senior poverty in our community. Their services are certified by the IRS and completely free of charge. They are also open to taxpayers of ALL AGES, not just seniors, and you DO NOT have to be an AARP member to receive their help. IF YOU WOULD LIKE THEIR ASSISTANCE, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHOW UP TO ONE OF THEIR SESSIONS HERE ON WEDNESDAYS FROM 10 AM TO 2 PM. afterward, bring a strict fast dish (no meat or dairy) to share!
