Baptism class is required for first time parents. Wow! Summer has gone by fast, since we had little or no spring! This weekend is Labor Day weekend and that means that next weekend, September 8 th and 9 th is our Parish Festival! Invite your relatives, and friends, and neighbors to attend our Festival and to be a part of our celebration! Our Parish Festival is an important event to raise funds to help us with the budget and to meet the needs of our Parish. It is also a time to celebrate that we are the Parish of St. Mary s, a spiritual family who has love and care for one another! Thus, the Festival is a time to deepen our relationships as we work together and have fun together. Thank you to those who already have made donations to the Festival! Your donations are greatly appreciated. For those who have not yet donated, we could still use donations of home grown fruits and vegetable, crafts, baked goods, jams, jellies, pickles, etc. for the Country Market. Other donations needed: bottles of wine for the Wagon of Wine, new or like new used toys for the children games, gift cards ($5 & up) for the Punch Game, new or like new items for the Silent Auction, items in good condition for the garage sale, cakes for the cake walk including sugar free and gluten free cakes, and creative themes for the Silent Basket Auction. Remember to sell or buy your cash raffle tickets and turn them in by Sunday of the Festival. Do not place them in the collection basket the weekend of the Festival! Turn them in to the Raffle Booth. Remember too, that the Saturday Mass (Polka Mass) on the Festival weekend will be moved up one hour earlier to 4:00 pm. This is because we want to serve the Pork Chop Supper over the dinner hour. Because Mass is moved up, confessions will be 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Sunday Mass schedule is as usual. Again invite your relatives, friends, and neighbors to the Festival. It is usually a great fall day to be outside and to visit and have fun. May God bless our Festival with good weather. May God bless each one of us and those who come to celebrate with us. Thank you for the ideas for a young adult raffle. Some of those ideas included a new TV, IPad, Tablet, etc. Or a drone, remote car/boat, etc. We will offer a young adult raffle if one or more of these items are donated. Treasures We are accepting Garage Sale Items that are new or lightly used. We are not taking clothes, shoes or large appliances. Donations should be brought to the church during business hours or by noon on. The Garage Sale will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 pm and opens at 9:00 am on Sunday, September 9. Kid s Games Looking for Youth Group volunteers to help with Kid's Games on Sunday, shifts are 10:00-12:00 and 12:00-2:00. We need 7 more volunteers per shift.
