Baptism class is required for first time parents. Once again the Parish Festival will be a great success! Last year was our record of records in the history of the Festival when we raised over $63,000! The record continues to stand! This year we will end up within one of our past records or we will set a new 2nd best record for the history of the festival! We have to wait till all bills are in to see what the total will be! The Festival was successful for many reasons: 1st, we have a great Festival Core Committee that has spent many hours planning for our Festival and in managing the Festival as it happens! They do a great job! 2nd, God blessed us with beautiful weather, 75 and sunny! Praise God! 3rd, prior to the Fall Festival, all the variety of donations from you and the area businesses and some businesses from outside our area. You and they are very generous! 4th, the many parishioners who showed up to help set up for the Festival. The largest crowd we had for this. A big thank you to all of you. 5th, all the chairs of the events of the Festival and all the parishioners who volunteered to work the Festival. Lots of help! You all worked hard! 6th, all those who attended the Festival: you, your relatives, your friends, co-workers, neighbors, alumni of our schools, and people from other parishes. 7th, all those who sold and purchased car raffle and cash raffle tickets and those who supported all the other Festival raffles, the vendors, the KC Food tent, and the theme basket silent auction, the large item silent auction, the pork chop supper, the egg bake brunch, the cake walk, country market, bingo, and all the games and other events! Great job! The whole Festival was topped off with the many parishioners (largest crowd in a while) that stayed to clean up and take down the tents and stands. Everything was put away in about 2 1/2 hours! When we know the Festival total, it will be announced to the Finance Committee first, and then to the Core Festival Committee and then you will be told. I am proud of you and proud to be your Pastor! May God continue to bless St. Mary s Parish through the intercession of the Blessed Mother, our Lady of Grace. We at St.Mary s have an opportunity to start an additional week for a mission trip in Mandaree, ND next July. We would need people newly graduated from High School and older to be able to offer an additional week for the North Dakota kids. If you are interested please contact Deb Fall at As we approach fall with the temperatures getting cooler and daylight being shorter, we tend to spend more time inside. How about spending a hour of the 'inside time' with our Lord in the adoration chapel? Soon there will be need of long term subs when 'snowbirds' leave for winter months. Religious Education Marathon The Minnesota Marathon for Nonpublic Education is here! On Wednesday, October 3rd, St. Mary s Religious Education students will be participating by walking for the Marathon for Non-public Education. Each child is asked to collect money from a sponsor for our Religious Education Program. Every year supporters work to raise money for nonpublic schools in cooperation with the Knights of Columbus. Padre Pio Relics Tour The tour of the relics of Padre Pio on the occasion of the 50th commemoration anniversary of Padre Pio entering eternal life.
