Summary Jehadi organizations of Pakistan have sped up their training programmes to Rohingya Muslims of Myanmar to cause bloodbath in India and Bangladesh. This sensational revelation was made by the Rohingya Muslim terrorist arrested in Bardhaman bomb blast case by the National Investigating Agency in Hyderabad. He accepted that he was sending Rohingya Muslims living all across India to Myanmar for terror training at secret locations. Now, Rohingya Muslims have become terror threat to India along with Bangladeshi Muslims. There are around 60 lakh Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar but the Myanmar government in clear terms refused to give them its citizenship. The government is of the view that Rohingya Muslims are Bangladeshi and are living in Myanman as infiltrators. On the other hand Bangladesh is also not ready to accept them as its citizen. Pakistani intelligence agencies are providing terror trainings to Rohingya Muslims in view of clashes between Budhdhists and Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. Lakhs of Rohingya Muslims have entered into India and are now illegally living in different parts of the country. Interesting thing is that Indian Muslims are not only giving them shelter but managing them livelihood as well. India security agencies have kept their eyes shut on this emerging threat. Generally the so called secular forces complain that the BJP does not give tickets to Muslim candidates to contest elections but the party fielded 32 Muslims in Jammu and Kashmir elections. Out of these, 25 Muslims have been fielded in the Valley while 6 in Jammu region while one in Ladakh. Earlier in 2008, the BJP fielded 24 Muslim candidates for Assembly elections and 17 Muslim candidates were fielded in Banned terrorist organization of Uttar Pradesh, Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), is expanding its base. A detailed report has been published in the weekly Urdu newspaper Chauthi Dunia in November 3 issue. This organization was formed in Aligarh in 1970 and was student wing of the Jamate Islami. But Jamate Islami distanced itself from this outfit. The government of India banned it in 2001 but workers of this organization were found involved in anti-national activities with different names. Historical mosques and graveyards are being demolished in Mecca. Historical monuments in the demolition lists also included grave of Hajarat Mohammad Saheb. It is said that Royal Palace to replace the demolished tomb. Interesting thing is that Muslims across the country caused uproar over the demolition of Babri mosque but thousands of historical mosques, mausoleum and tomb have been demolished and no one could dare to speak against Saudi Arabia. 5 NATIONAL I Rohingya Muslim terrorists' infiltration bid a security threat National Investigating Agency arrested a Rohingya Muslim Khalid Mohammad from Hyderabad in Bardhaman blast case. Khalid Mohammad accepted in the police interrogation that Pakistani intelligence agency ISI was giving training to Rohingya Muslims at secret destinations. He also revealed that Rohingya Muslims living in different parts of India have been sent to Myanmar for training. Inquilab on November 16 revealed that in the Muslim-majority areas of Myanmar around Muslims started off a journey to Malaysia on boats but they did not reach Malaysia rather lost in the sea. Intelligence sources are speculating that these Rohingya Muslims might infiltrate into India or Bangladesh illegally. Intelligence agencies claimed that sometimes ago Thailand police captured 500 Rohingya Muslims while trying to enter Thailand illegally. Similarly thousands of Muslims riding on a boat fled from Myanmar in 1998 and entered India and Bangladesh. Later the Bangladesh government deported them. The Bangladesh government said that they were not Bangladeshi citizen therefore infiltrators cannot be given shelter. After that they entered Indian Territory and are living in every corner of the country. This is to recall that Rohingya Muslims are problem for several South Asian countries. Myanmar claimed that these Muslims are not its citizen and they sneaked into the country from Bangladesh. There were bloody clashes between Rohingya Muslims and Budhdhists in Myanmar from the past four years in which thousands have been killed. The Bangladesh government has been saying that Rohangia Muslims are not its citizen therefore they cannot be allowed to intrude into the country. According to the Home ministry sources, thousands of Rohingya Muslims are illegally living in India. According to the intelligence sources, they are living in Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telengana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. Intelligence sources also informed that there was no credible data available about these Muslims living illegally. Around two years ago hundreds of Rohingya Muslims reached Delhi and made shanties in the Vasant Kunj area occupying historical monuments. The government drove them out with very difficultly. They are still India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

illegally living in the Okhla area of Delhi. Muslim organizations are making them available food and other things. According to intelligence agencies, some of these Rohingya Muslims are linked to Pakistan and Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is using them to cause unrest in India by pushing counterfeit currency in the market. Recently a Rohingya Muslim was arrested by the intelligence sleuths in Bardhaman blasts case, who is alleged to be associated with terrorist organization Harkat ul Jihad Islami. Security agencies claimed that he was given terror training by Pakistani and Chinese officials in the jungles of Myanmar. This has also been revealed that Pakistani agents are recruiting Muslim youths from Andhra Pradesh, Assam and Jammu and Kashmir for terror training. Security agencies are quizzing him. It is said that this person was doing recruitment work with the help of local Islamic madarsas. According to Hindustan Times (November 23), the Rohingya Muslims arrested by the National Intelligence Agency in connection with Bardhaman blast case had links with several terrorist organizations. This Rohingya Muslims are originally from Myanmar and entered India in November He got his Aadhar Card and Voter ID card made. According to the government sources, this person has been providing terror training to Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar. He is associated with Islamic terrorist organization Laskar e Toiba and this terrorist organization had sent him to India so that Muslim youths could be recruited for the terrorist activities. A laptop was recovered from him in which guidance for the use of arms and ammunitions and information of making bomb was provided. He accepted in before the police during interrogation that he had sent 40 youths to Bangladesh for terror training and had also helped them to enter India. He also revealed that terrorist organizations authorized a Bangladeshi youth Abdul Rahman for the recruitment after that his connection was established with Laskar e Toiba. He used to visit Bangladesh and Myanmar and also used to send youths to get terrorist training there. He accepted that he had facilitated terror training for some people living illegally in Lucknow and Jammu and Kashmir. II 'Ahmad Bukhari is a self-styled Shahi Imam' Despite opposition from the Delhi Waqf Board, Shahi Imam Ahmed Bukhari of Jama Masjid finally went ahead with Dastarbandi of his younger son Shaban Bukhari. Delhi Waqf Board demanded from the Delhi High Court to stop Dastarbandi ceremony by Ahmed Bukhari declaring Shaban his successor. The high court turned it down saying that it was personal India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

ceremony of Imam. High court also made it clear that the right to appointment of Imam of Jama Masjid rests with Waqf Board therefore Ahmed Bukhari did not have any right to appoint his son as nayab Imam. As far as Dastarbandi is concerned, it does not have any legal sanctity. The next hearing has been fixed for January 15. High court asked clarification from Ahmed Bukhari by January 8 about appointing his son as deputy Imam of Jama Masjid. It is pertinent to mention that media did not give much attention as Ahmed Bukhari was expecting. All the important political leaders kept distance from this ceremony. Supporters of Imam were publishing colourful advertisements from the past two weeks in Urdu newspapers. Azizulhind on November 23 published a news report as the main story in which it was said that the ceremony was presided over by Darul Uloom Waqf chief Maulana Mohammad Saleem Qasmi. This is to recall that this institution was set up 30 years ago parallel to Darul Uloom, Deoband. Ahmed Bukhari criticized Waqf Board by saying that it was instituted 70- year-ago while his ancestors have been Imam of the mosque for the past 400 years. He said that son of every Imam has been taking up the responsibility of Shahi Imam. He claimed that Shaban Bukhari would be the 14th Shahi Imam. This is to recall that Ahmed Bukhari had two wives and setting aside the tradition, he appointed his younger son as Nayab Imam instead of his elder son. Several Muslim leaders participated in this ceremony. Ahmed Bukhari did not invite PM Narendra Modi while Prime minister of Pakistan Nawaj Sharief was invited. Imam also invited Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Union Home minister Rajnath Singh and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee and Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav to attend the ceremony however no one showed up. Roznama Rashtriya Sahara on November 23 published this report in two columns and picture was also published with the report. Inquilab on November 23 published this report on the front page in three columns. Interesting thing is that not a single newspaper wrote any editorial on this issue. This is to recall that when Late Syed Abdulla Bukhari appointed his son as his successor then also Waqf Board opposed it and refused to give recognition to Ahmed Bukhari as Imam. Ahmed Bukhari was given recognition of Imam under political pressure. According to Hindustan Express (November 21), All India Majlis e Mushawarat chief Syed Shahabuddin also opposed appointment of Shaban Bukhari. He said that as per Islamic law the post of Imam was not hereditary so Imam did not have any right to appoint his successor. India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

Different Muslim leaders vehemently criticized Ahmed Bukhari's decision of not inviting the PM for the ceremony and on the other hand sending invitation to the Pakistani PM. They said that the decision of Imam would give people a chance to question patriotism of Muslims. This was the main subject for the Urdu newspapers for several days. Muslim Ulama are of the view that Islam does not have the post of Imam as hereditary. Anyone can lead the prayer for Muslims. The government is of the opinion that Jama Masjid is a waqf property not a fief of Ahmed Bukhari Imam therefore only Waqf Board can appoint successor of the present Imam Ahmed Bukhari. Woman Muslim ulama Shiba Fahmi emphasized in a write up that imam of every mosque were equal and anyone using title of Shahi Imam was wrong. As per records available, Imam of Jama masjid gets his salary from the Waqf Board. Ahmed Bukhari is selfstyled Shahi Imam. III BJP fields Muslim candidates in J&K elections According to Inquilab (November 18), the BJP fielded as many as 32 Muslim candidates in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. There are 25 candidates for Kashmir Valley while 6 for Jammu and 1 for Laddakh. The BJP fielded 4 Kashmiri pandits in the Valley and one Sikh candidate. Three Budhdhists have been made the BJP candidate in Ladhakh. Jammu and Kashmir in charge and party MP Avinash Rai Khanna said that the BJP was getting popular by the day in the state and Muslims were participating enthusiastically. This is to recall that in 2008 Assembly elections, the BJP fielded 60 candidates including 24 Muslims, 7 Kashmiri pandits and had won 11 seats. In 2002 elections, it fielded total 58 candidates out of that 17 were Muslims but only one candidate was successful. IV Mulayam in the line of fire of Muslim leaders Akhbar Mashriq on November 18 published a report on front page attributing Mulayam Singh in which it was reported that due to veil system in Islam, Muslim women could not become part of development. He emphasized that this system must be abolished. This veil India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

system is archaic and said that Dr Ram Manohar Lohia called this the biggest hurdle for the development of women. Mulayam said that it was necessary for Muslim women to shun this practice. This statement of Mulayam triggered Urdu newspaper to start a campaign against him. Every newspaper alleged that he was interfering into religious matters of Muslims and he did not have right to oppose veil. He must apologize to Muslims of the country. According to Inquilab (November 19), a group of Muslims in Hardoi district criticized Mulayam by organizing a meeting that statement regarding discontinuing veil system was open defiance of Sharia law which Muslims would not tolerate. Mulayam must apologize to Muslims of the country for interfering into Sharia law. Abdul Wahid of Bahujan Samaj Party said that Mulayam was a so-called messiah of Muslims but no one could become well wisher of Muslims just by wearing cap. On one hand Mulayam Singh claims to be the sympathizers of Muslims on the other hand he goes into alliance with leaders like Kalyan Singh and rubs salt on wounds of Muslims. Veil is a part of Islam and Muslims would never give it up. Chief of Madhavganj madarsa Maulana Abdul Jabbar Qasmi warned Mulayam Singh of not interfering into Sharia Laws which would not be tolerated by Muslims. He said that veil helped to keep a check on shamelessness. Another Muslim leader Mufti Qasmi said that veil was the rule made by Nabi therefore if Mulayam was opposing it that means he was disrespecting Hajrat Mohammad Saheb. District president of Jamiat Ulama Jubair Ahmed Qasmi said that no Muslim would tolerate such statement of Mulayam. Muslims in Pilibhit organized a meeting criticizing the statement of Mulayam Singh. They demanded apology from Mulayam Singh. According to a news report from Lucknow, Muslim women organization president Begum Shahnaz said that instruction for the use of veil for women was given by Hajrat Mohammad Saheb so Mulayam must not interfere into it. If Mulayam does not withdraw his statement and does not apologize to Muslims, she is going to sit on hunger strike outside his house. National Ulama Council chief Maulana Aamir Rashidi termed Mulayam Singh's statement an attack on Indian tradition and said that Mulayam Singh did not have any right to target culture of Muslims deliberately. President of Momin Sabha Mohammad Akram Ansari said that the Samajwadi Party came to power with the support of Muslims and after coming to power mental equilibrium of Mulayam Singh derailed and he was giving anti-muslim statements. We don't need leaders like Mulayam Singh. India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

V Girls banned for using social media According to Sahafat (November 20), Shahpur Sabkhap Panchayat of Mujaffarnagar district banned use of Facebook, internet, WhatsApp, jeans and mobile for girls. This decision was taken by 36 castes panchayat. This khap panchayat also decided that people marrying in same gotra must be executed. Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Chandrapal Fauji said that in the matters of love try to make your girl understand if she was not ready to understand throw her into Ganga River. President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Raju Ahlawat said, We are neither afraid of media nor courts. We have to anyhow keep our tradition alive. A girl from the village is like sister and if anyone enters into such matrimony, they are going to meet the end that a mad dog meets. Chief of Baliyan khap Choudhary Naresh Tikait said, We have been opposing same gotra marriages. We are not going to break our tradition at any cost. What is the need of mobile and internet for girls? Maharana Pratap Sangharsh Samiti chief Thakur Narendra Pandher said that WhatsApp and Facebook must be banned for girls. VI SIMI network spreads across India Chauthi Dunia on November 3 claimed that Student Islamic Movement of India network was spreading very fast from Bijnore in Uttar Pradesh to Bardhman in West Bengal. There is an increasing network of Islamic Terrorists. Security agencies are of the opinion that SIMI is getting support from the ISIS and internal security is deteriorating by the day therefore it is necessary to implement security measures like the US and Israel. Al Qaida with the help of Jamate Islami is expanding its base in India. Jamat ud Dawa chief Hafiz Sayeed is trying to give Jamate Islami a new look. SIMI and similar organistions have strengthened their bases in the state. There are lieutenants of Indian Mujahiddin present in Meerut, Aligarh, Saharanpur, Mujaffarnagar, Bijnore, Kanpur, Azamgarh and Gorakhpur. In October 2013, intelligence sources warned that terrorists fled from Madhya Pradesh took shelter in Uttar Pradesh but the state government did not give any heed to it. Dreaded terrorist Majeed Sheikh was living in Aminabad area of Lucknow where his in-laws used to stay. Arrangement has been made for him to stay in Bijnor and he was staying there. Police were caught napping when his friend was injured while making bomb but by the time police woke up from slumber terrorists fled. India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

The police got this information that terrorists were living in a locality of Bijnore and when the police raided it recovered materials for bomb making from a shop but terrorists escaped. National Investigation Agency arrested one Abdul Sattar who had been training terrorists and his network is spread up to Nepal. SIMI was banned by the government in September Samajwadi Party supports SIMI in Uttar Pradesh. When Mulayam Singh was the CM, he had demanded lifting ban from SIMI from the Central government. The State government has withdrawn all the cases against its chief Shahid Badra Falahi. SIMI was constituted on April 25, 1977 in Aligarh. Its founder was Mohammad Ahmedullah Siddqui and SIMI had its relation with terrorist organization in Bangladesh. It has recently established relations with terrorist organization of Bangladesh Harkat Jihadul Islami. SIMI caused bomb blasts in Uttar Pradesh in 2005 and 2006 at several places and now it had spread its tentacles down south. There was over a dozen of Islamic organization active in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. SIMI is trying to spread its grip in Muslim dominated areas in Maharashtra. Activities of Tabligi Jamat increased in border areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan. These organizations are linked to many terrorist organizations. India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

WORLD I Several historical mosques to be demolished in Madina According to Inquilab (November), the Saudi Arabia government plans to demolish several historical mosques in its expansion plan of Masjid al Nabi and such historical buildings have already been identified. The management of these mosques has been informed. Some of the mosques to be demolished belong to the time of Hajrat Mohamad Saheb. One such mosque is to be demolished where he himself used to offer namaj. These mosques are part of the Islamic tradition. An Arabic historian Abdullah al Kabir said that before these mosques were to be demolished permission must be sought from archeological department because these were such mosques where Prophet Mohammad Saheb and Caliphs used to offer namaj. This is to recall that Saudi Arabia is expanding the oldest mosque of Islamic history Masjid al Nabi. At present 8 lakh people can offer namaj from this mosque but after its expansion over 30 lakh people would be able to offer prayer there. Sahafat on November 20, made it the main news report on the front page and claimed that the Saudi Arabia government was planning to demolish Tomb of Hajrat Mohammad Saheb. The newspaper claimed that 95 per cent remains of ancient structures related to Islam have been wiped out in Mecca and Madina. The newspaper also claimed that expansion plan of Masjid al Nabi was prepared by a Christian architect which was an attempt to make Mecca a Western city rather than an Islamic town. The Saudi Arabian government is a Wahabi government which is hell bent upon demolishing all Islamic monuments. The newspaper also claimed that the Saudi Arabia government was deliberately trying to erase historical buildings, which was related to hajrat Mohammad Saheb and Caliph. Urdu Times on November 14 published a news report in which it was alleged that a palace was being built replacing tomb of Hajrat Mohammad Saheb. Director of Islamic Research Orgaanisation of Britain Arif Alvi told the newspaper that the mosque built at the place where Mohammad Saheb was born was demolished completely to make space for the place of Saudi Arabia emperor Abdullah. He alleged that people are opposed to the demolition of remains of Islamic civilization but they are afraid of speaking anything against the royal family. On the other hand chief Mufti of Saudi Arabia Sheikh Abdul Aziz supported the Saudi Arabia India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

government's move of demolishing Islamic remains by saying that if old mosque and tombs are demolished for expansion and modernization of the city one should not oppose it. II Four Muslims arrested for conspiring to kill British Queen Urdu Times on November 10 reported that four Muslim youth between 19 and 27 years of age have been arrested for conspiring to kill Queen of Britain Elizabeth. They had the intension of killing her during a ceremony organized by the British Army. Several attempts have been made on the life of Queen Elizabeth earlier also. A conspiracy to kill the Queen and her husband was hatched in 1970 during their visit to Australia that was foiled by the intelligence sleuths. The Queen is 88-year-old. III Marriage a disqualification for women to become a cop According to Azizulhind (November 20), Indonesia plans to recruit only such women in the police who are not married. In the biggest Islamic nation of the world in terms of population, some of the police officials of Indonesia claimed that earlier also condition of being non-married for the police service was applicable but it was removed. On the other hand Human Right Watch claimed that it was in force. Several women who had got recruited in the police confirmed that they had undergone such a test. A 19-yearold woman said that during medical examination her experience was very bitter. She had to undress before unknown people and after that she had to undergo medical examination that was really shameful. This is to recall that there are 4 lakh people in Indonesia police and only 3 India Policy Foundation December 1-15,

per cent of them are women. Recently the government decided to increase participation of women in it. IV Ban on case hearing under Islamic law Munsif on November 8 reported that the American state Alabama instructed its courts not to hear cases under Islamic laws. Such a decision was taken so that Islamic laws did not become hurdle in implementation of national laws. This is to recall that a law in this regard was proposed before the Assembly by a republican leader Grand Alen but later on the Federal government of America declared it illegal. Opposing this decision, Muslim leaders said that this was against the constitution of the US and was done with prejudice against the community. V Organizers of beauty contest sent to jail According to Siyasat (November 16), the police foiled an attempt to organize a beauty contest in Mecca by some women in Saudi Arabia. These women have been arrested and sent to jail for this un-islamic act. According to the newspaper some of the citizens lodged a complained that a campaign in social media was being run for selection of Mallika e Husna Mecca in which girls between 17 to 27 years of age have been offered free registration. The owner of the necklace told the police that he did not have any information about the beauty pageant. These women booked the hall saying that they want to organize a function there. The police arrested all such women wanting to participate in the beauty contest and sent them to jail. India Policy Foundation December 1-15,
