Summary Summary The Narendra Modi government is planning to bring legislation in Parliament on the instruction of the Supreme Court but that is not acceptable to the radical Muslims of the country. They are planning to start a campaign against it. Such laws are interference into the matter of Shariat law for the extremist Muslims leaders that they are not ready to accept at any cost. Ever since Dr. Farooq Abdullah had gone out of power, he is baffled completely and speaking openly against the country. Abdullah family is anyway well skilled to speak by measuring the situation. There were hands of Maqbool Bhat in the killing of Ravindra Mhatre the Indian consulate general in Britain. After that he killed two other Indians in Jammu and Kashmir. This terrorist was hanged in Tihar jail in Delhi. The person who has links with such terrorist how could one expect patriotism from him? There is a shocking news report from Punjab. Recently during a meeting of a Dalit organisation BAMSEF in which Muslim leaders and Dalits participated besides Khalistani Sikhs. In this meeting announcement was made to start campaign against Brahmanism and conspiracy was hatched to break the unity of the Hindu society. But what was strange was that the Punjab government had not taken any action against these anti-national elements. Dispute over celebrating birthday of Prophet of Islam is getting serious by the day. The Saudi Arabia government banned celebration of birthday of Prophet Mohammad. The occasion was not declared as holiday and on the other hand India and Pakistan are celebrating it. Clash between extremist organization and the Egyptian government was intensifying by the day. As per recent incidences extremist jihadi organisation Islamic State attacked a mosque killing over 300 Namajies. The Egyptian government launched a nationwide hunt against the jihadi organisation. This is to recall that Egypt is inching towards civil war. Mohammad Morsy the supporter of radical Islamic organisation Muslim Brotherhood became President in 2011 who was dethroned by a military coup. Army took of the government in the country and it is said that there was hand of the US in this development. India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

National I Upheaval over proposed law on Triple Talaq According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (December 2), the Supreme Court instructed the Narendra Modi government to prepare a bill banning Triple Talaq which is expected to be introduced in the winter session of Parliament. As per sources, the committee constituted by the government sought reports from all the states. This bill has been named as Protection of Rights of Muslim Women Bill. As per the draft bill Triple Talaq has been made a non-bailable offence and accused could be given sentence up to three years and could be fined also. This draft bill has the provision for the compensation to victim of Triple Talaq. As per the information, the responsibility of preparing the bill has been given to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitly, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prashad and Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh. As per sources, the bill has been prepared but this will not be applicable on Jammu and Kashmir. This is to recall that the Supreme Court while hearing the case on August 22 banned Triple Talaq for six months and instructed the Central government to bring legislation on Triple Talaq within six month to make it illegal. According to Inquilab (November 23), All India Muslim Personal Law Board opposed making law banning Triple Talaq and declared it interference into the Islamic Sharia. Secretary All India Muslim Personal Law Board Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani said that if the government makes law that would be against Indian constitution then it won t be accepted. In a press release issued from Hyderabad, he had said that divorce was a religious matter of Islam and if any woman was divorced she becomes sinful for him. If Triple Talaq was banned it would be sin as per Islam and would come under rape. However, Triple Talaq was not liked in Islam still Triple Talaq was part of it which cannot be banned. He said that All India Muslim Personal Board was trying to stop misuse of Triple Talaq. Left activist Shabnam Hasmi claimed that whenever the BJP was in trouble it takes up issues like Triple Talaq or related to Muslims so that Muslim votes are polarised. According to Inquilab (November 22), the Centre is preparing to pass a bill to ban Triple Talaq and a committee was constituted in the Finance ministry. This is to recall that the government was instructed by the SC in this regard. Etemaad in its editorial on November 23 said that if any law was made concerning Triple Talaq it would be interference into Islamic Sharia. The newspaper alleged that NGO of Zakia Soman was misguiding Muslims and despite opposition from Muslims, the government was planning to ban Triple Talaq. The newspaper wrote that when Triple Talaq started over phone and through SMSs and social media that gave chance to the government and court to interfere into personal law of Muslims. They are opposing banning Triple Talaq across the country but the government is stubborn on its anti-muslim attitude. According to Inquilab (November 27), President of All India Woman Party Nohra Sheikh threatened that if the government made any law against Triple Talaq it would be fiercely opposed. She said that she was opposed to instant Triple Talaq and if any such law was made by the government it was interference into the matters of Islam that won t be tolerated. 6 II Treacherous words from Farooq Abdullah Ever since former chief minister of Dr. Farooq Abdullah has gone out of power he is baffled completely. Recently he gave a statement that Jammu and Kashmir was not merged into Indian Union. He had also said that at the time of merger it was made clear that Kashmir would be free from Indian dependency except in the matters of currency, defence and communication. He also spat venom that puppet government was being thrust in Kashmir. He had even said that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir was part of Pakistan but his statement had country-wide reaction. According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (November 12), president of National Conference Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that demanding independence of Kashmir was not right because Kashmir is surrounded from all sides and its three neighbours India, Pakistan and China are atomic power while Kashmiries don t have anything except Allah. He said while talking to reporters that he wanted to say to the entire world that POK with Pakistan is now part of Pakistan and no one could take it back and whatever is this side belongs to India. He said that ruling people s attitude towards Kashmiries was never good. Promises made to us were never fulfilled. He said that for the peace process of Kashmir it was important for India to have talks with Kashmiries and Pakistan. He further said that problem of Kashmir could be solved by providing autonomy to both sides of Kashmir. Abdullah said demands made by free Kashmir were not reasonable. Farooq Abdullah said that disturbance in Kashmir is due to keeping Kashmiries from their due rights. We must get our internal autonomy if peace has to prevail in Kashmir. According to Inquilab (November 22), former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Farooq Abdullah alleged that the Centre was responsible for Jammu and Kashmir crisis. He claimed, Jammu and Kashmir was not merged with India and we are not slaves of anyone. He alleged that Kashmiries are facing the maximum wrath of the Kashmir problem killing thousands of people. He said that crisis in Kashmir was a political one and to take people of Kashmir from this quick sand it was necessary for India and Pakistan to look for its solution. He said that constitutional rights of Kashmiries are being robbed. He also claimed that ruler of Jammu and Kashmir merged Jammu and Kashmir with India on this condition that currency, defence and communication will be with India but the Indian government refused to comply with the promise. He said that Article 370 was started during the reigns of Sheikh Abdullah but he was sent to jail in 1953 puppet governments in the state were forced. According to Etemaad (November 19), POK is in the possession of Pakistan from the past 70 years. We fought four battles but failed to recapture it. If the government has the courage to capture them it must try. We are not stopping them, said Abdullah. A social worker of Jammu Shailesh Khajuria lodged a case against Farooq Abdullah in a police station in Jammu demanding action against him. According to Siyasat (November 28), former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah was deliberately trying to rack up controversy. Abdullah in his statement said that those who talk about raising flag in POK must raise flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar. Abdullah said that they didn t have the courage to raise tricolour and they were saying to raise Indian flag in POK. Comment: Recently Punya Prasun Bajpai an anchor of the news channel Aaj Tak when asked former Jammu and Kashmir CM about his nationality he got baffled. However, this Indian leader s allegiance was always doubtful. He father used to dream about becoming emperor of the independent Kashmir. He was alleged to be working as puppet in hands of British State department to incite communal violence in the state. When he tried to become independent king of Kashmir in 1953 with the help of the US, Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru arrested him and sent him to jail. Sometimes ago a picture became viral with terrorist Maqbool Bhat with Farooq Abdullah. Will India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

Abdullah clarify that what kind of relations he had with this killer? Isn t it true that Maqbool Bhat got Indian consulate general Ravindra Mhatre killed in Birmingham and when British police started looking for him he had fled to Pakistan? Later on he entered into Indian Kashmir violating ceasefire and killed several police officers. He was prosecuted for the murder charges and he was hanged in Tihar prison and buried there itself. Will Farooq Abdullah throw a light on what affidavit he had given in Lahore High Court in the matter of Nidos Hotel and if this hotel has been returned to Farooq Abdullah by Pakistan. If it has been returned to Farooq Abdullah on what basis it has been done? Is not it true that Nidas Hotel of Lahore that was owned by maternal grandfather of Farooq Abdullah and if custodian department s action of taking control of the hotel was challenged in Lahore High Court by his mother? If it was challenged what was its basis? If all these facts are wrong, Farooq Abdullah must refute all this? What affidavit was given after the death of Akhbar Jehan in the high court after that ownership of Nidos Hotel was given to Farooq Abdullah on what basis? It would be really nice if Farooq Abdullah clarifies the matter? This is a bitter truth that his younger brother Tarek Abdullah was sent to United Nations as its representative. Isn t it true that the matter was racked up in Parliament and his passport was cancelled? Isn t it true that after Sheikh Abdullah entered into a deal with Indira Gandhi Tarek Abdullah citizenship was reinstated and was given Indian passport once again? III Attempt being made to make environment for Islamic Banking According to Siyasat (November 13), Muslim organisations started creating an environment against the Reserve Bank of India for not allowing Islamic Banking. It was claimed in a conference in Hyderabad that the decision of the RBI would give a setback to the investment coming to India from the Gulf countries. It was claimed in the conference that people from Gulf and Arabic nations got ready to invest in India if India would start Islamic banking. Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visits to Saudi Arab and Gulf countries gave clear assurance after that a possibility of $33 billion from the Islamic countries emerged but the new policy of the RBI washed away all this possibility. According to Inquilab (November 20), Jamaat E Islami also organised a national seminar in support of Islamic banking in which it was claimed it is very important to adopt Islamic Banking to strengthen economy of the country. Economist Prof Jawed Ahmed said that people from the Islamic countries wanted to invest in India but the new policy of the RBI had washed away all hopes. Banks by lending money recover 50 to 80 per cent interest from us but they give just five to six per cent interest on our deposit. Poor people of the country are being exploited which will be stopped the moment Islamic banking is implemented in the country. He claimed that suicide of farmers would be stopped once Islamic Banking was implemented in the country because Islamic Banking will provide equality in the society. According to Hamara Samaj (November 27), Union minister of state for minority affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi announced that the government won t implement Islamic Banking as India was a secular nation so it can t be linked to Islamic banking. Naqvi said this in Maulana Azad University which was organised by Zafar Sareshwala. This is to recall that Zafar Sareshwala is the same person who was trying to bring in Islamic Banking in India. IV Khalistani, Muslims and Dalits join hands in Punjab According to Inquilab, Dalits in Punjab along with Muslims opened a new front for Khalistan. A programme organised in Amritsar claimed that to end Brahmanism it was important for Dalits and India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

aboriginals join hands. Several participants from the foreign countries too participated in it. Khalistani leaders participating in it included Simranjit Singh Man, former chief of Akal Takht Gyani Keval Singh, Dalit leader Waman Meshram and spokesperson of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Sajjad Naumani were present. National president of Bamcef Waman Meshram said that revolution in the country started but revolution could be done by those who leave their houses. Gyani Keval Singh said that the governance must go out of hands of 15 per cent populations to Dalits and aboriginals. He said that the country had yet not attained independence. Only chairs changed but rulers remained the same. Naumani said that there was a section in the country that was opposed to Muslims, Shikhs and Dalits. V Rohit Sardana in the line of fire of Muslims According to Siyasat (November 20), Shia Muslims lodged a complaint at Dabirpur police station in which it was alleged that anchor of the news channel Rohit Sardana made a comment against Rohit Sardana. Case against Rohit Sardana was filed under section 295A of IPC. Sahafat on November 23 published an editorial on the front page making shameful comment on relatives of prophet by Rohit Sardana and criticised Muslim leaders for keeping silent. The newspaper wrote that Majlish e Hind in Lucknow demanded action against Rohit Sardana but Muslim leaders around Delhi are keeping shut. According to Inquilab (November 25), Husna e Aara Trust sent a memorandum to President Ramnath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding immediate action against Rohit Sardana because Sardana not only targeted Muslim and Christian saints but Hindu God and Goddess. A case has been registered in New Usmanpur police station in Delhi. According to Inquilab (November 25), demonstrations were organised at several places in the Kashmir Valley against Rohit Sardana and demanded his arrest. According to Hamara Samaj (November 24), Darul Uloom Deoband announced that the person who had made objectionable comment on family members of Prophet he has actually challenged Muslims that won t be tolerated. He demanded that Rohit Sardan who had commented must immediately arrested and all such channels must be banned who are unleashing campaign against Muslims. According to Akhbar Mashriq (November 22), Rohit Sardana in his tweets provided his identity of anti-islamic by writing against Hazrat Ayesha, Hazrat Fatima and Maryam that won t be tolerated by anyone. VI Attempt to communalise atmosphere in Uttar Pradesh Roznama Rashtriya Sahara on November 24 published a news report on the front page in which it was claimed that a maulana was attacked by some mischievous element. According to the newspaper, Imam Qari Gulzar was travelling on a train from Delhi to Saharanpur along with his three associates. A delegation of Muslim leaders lodged complains to SSP demanding action against these elements on which the police registered case against seven unknown persons. The newspaper alleged that cases of attack on people keeping beard on train travelling from Delhi to Saharanpur increased and the police failed to stop such incidents. All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen President Asaduddin Owaisi said criticising the matter that unless action was taken against such mischievous elements such incidents would keep on happening. He said that incidents of clashed increased in trains. India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

According to Inquilab (November 25), general secretary of Jamiat Ulama e Hind Maulana Mahmood Madani demanded compensation to the injured people after meeting railway officials and tightening security arrangements in Railways so no such incidence happens in the future. Siyasat in its editorial on November 25 criticised attack on the maulvi and alleged that the police was saving them instead of taking action against them. The newspaper complained that the police files false cases against such people who are actually victim of violence. The newspaper threatened that if action was not taken against these mischievous elements then it will have dire consequences. VII Several arrested for forcing people to convert to Islam According to Siyasat (November 20), Hyderabad police arrested nine people who have allegedly converted nine children by allurement. Mohammad Ali Siddiqui and eight other people have been arrested in this regard. It is alleged that Siddiqui and other people allured people in the villages of Bhadrachalam, Mahbubnagar, Khammam and Warangal districts that their children would be given free education, food and lodging. Families allured by them belonged to Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribes. These children were converted to Islam by bringing them to Hyderabad and were kept in Madarsa where they were given Islamic training. Some people complained to Bal Kalyan Samiti on which police recovered children and these people were arrested. Comment: This incidence makes it clear that Muslim organisations are using all kinds of gimmick for conversion. There is Telangana Rashtra Samiti government in Telangana which is considered to be pro-muslim but due to growing public outrage it was forced to arrest such people who had converted Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribes children to Islam. This is a bitter truth that Arabic nations are providing money for expansion of Islam in the country through legal or illegal means. Sometimes ago around 200 Scheduled Tribes children were recovered from a gang that was taking them to an Islamic orphanage in Kerala. The police arrested several people in this regard. As per the police, several dozens of such orphanages are being run by these gangs. Managements of these orphanages get huge money from the Arabic nations was used to convert non-muslims to Muslims because Arabic nations put forth conditions before providing them money that how many children are there. So to increase the numbers of orphans in these orphanages these organisations take help of brokers to tab children from poor families of poor states like Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Telangana. They are taken to orphanages of Kerala by alluring them. Common people are not aware about these facts that there are around 21 private orphanages being run in south India where Muslim children are given higher education along with professional education for free. They are also given job assurance in Saudi Arabia. Several such gimmicks are being used to convert non-muslims to Muslims. There are around 18 television channels to propagate Islam in South India which get foreign funds to run these channels. There are different data for the money received for propagation of Islam in India. According to Home Ministry sources, every year Rs 10,000 crore is received in India from legal or illegal sources for expansion of Islam to the Muslim world in India. India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

Ever since Israel came into existence in 1948 this region has become epicenter of war. In the 1967 war Israel captured one region of Israel and captured the entire region in Peace was brokered in 1979 between both the countries and in 1982 Sinai was returned to Egypt by Israel. According to Inquilab (December 2), in the Muslim majority areas of India birthday of Prophet Mohammad was celebrated and Muslims organised programme at several places across the country and processions were taken out at several places. Mosques and other places were lightened up and special Namaj was offered. All Urdu newspapers brought out special editions on the occasion of birthday of Prophet Mohammad. Devotee Muslims were shown remains of Prophet in Srinagar, Delhi and Hyderabad. According to another news report, Eid ul Milad ul Nabi was celebrated with all glitter in Jammu and Kashmir and procession and special gatherings were organised at several places in Kashmir hundreds of mosques, places of worship, Khangah, Imambara. Weekly Nai Duniya brought out an special issue on December 4 about Prophet Mohammad Saheb in which it was said that when Shah Waliullah Dehlvi visited Saudi Arabia in 18th century then he wrote in his book that birthday of Prophet Mohamad was celebrated with all glitter there. The newspaper criticised to the fact that birthday of Prophet Mohammad was now in controversy. Now some people are saying that celebrating birthday of prophet was against Islamic tradition. The newspaper published pictures of Prophet Mohammed at several museums. India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

World I Hand of Army behind resignation of law minister Radical Muslims of Pakistan have unleashed mayhem from the past on month due to that Law Minister of Pakistan had to resign. Was there hand of Pakistani Army behind his resignation? Roznama Rashtriya Sahara on November 29 published a report on the front page claiming that whatever demonstration took place in Pakistan in recent times there were hands of Army behind them. A video was shared in which Army officials were shown distributing money to demonstrators. According to this video, when a person refuses to accept envelop the army man said that this was from him. When someone asked him that how much money was inside the envelope then he said that it has Rs 1000 in it. When the worker talks about getting arrested, he was told that he would be released. Representative of Voice of America from Islamabad Director General of Punjab Ranger Azhar Naved was distributing the money to demonstrators. This is to recall that demonstration took place in Pakistan by Tehreek E Labaik Ya Rasool Allah. Despite heavy pressure from the people, no action was taken against demonstrators because demonstrators had the support of making coup against the government and forming the government. Leader of the demonstrators Khadim Hussain Rizvi told a foreign media channel in an interview that Army won t come forward to end Dharna. When administration sought assistance from Army, military officials argued that they are bounded to work as per constitution. But it won t use power against its people. Home Minister Hasan Iqbal claimed on several occasions that Dharna could be vacated in three hours but police and paramilitary failed then they refused to own the responsibility and said that this operation was done and it won t have my interference. Earlier also several attempts were made to end Dharna but they failed. Later on Army mediated on their conditions which talks were on. According to Inquilab (November 28), Law Minister of Pakistan Zahid Hamid had to resign due to ongoing protest in the Pakistani capital Islamabad which was accepted by Pakistan PM. He said that election law was made by consensus of all political parties in which i don t have any role to play. According to Inquilab (November 27), these demonstrations disturbed the daily lives in Pakistan. Sindh was completely closed and demonstrators criticised action taken by the Army. Entire transport was closed. Demonstration took place not only in Karachi but also in Sindh and Dharna was organised. Demonstration took place outside Punjab Assembly in Lahore and all roads were closed. The Punjab government ordered closing down all institutions due to Dharna. Peshawar also remained closed and were demanding resignation of Law minister. Clash took place between demonstrators and paramilitary forces. Paramilitary forces had to flee looking at the fierce behaviour of demonstrators. The police fired tear gas and resorted to lathi charge. Army was guarding all the government installation in the capital. Army was called in looking at the explosive conditions. According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (November 26), the police were taking action against demonstrators of Islamabad in which over 200 people got injured. The police destroyed all camps set up for Dharna and the city was surrounded from all sides. It is said that thousands of soldiers were deployed for this cause. Throughout the day clashes between demonstrators and paramilitary forces were heard. Emergency has been declared in hospitals and all roads are closed by the Army. India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

Inquilab in its editorial on November 27 wrote that thousands of workers of Tehreek E Labaik Ya Rasool Allah were sitting on Dharna in the leadership of Maulvi Khadim Hussain Rizvi against softening blasphemy law on road connecting the capital city of Pakistan Islamabad from Rawalpindi. The Pakistan government tried to crush this movement in which over half a dozen people got killed and hundreds got injured. The background of this movement is that the US is putting pressure on several countries including Pakistan that it must dilute blasphemy law under which disrespecting Prophet or his family members may lead to death sentence. This law was being misused against Christians of Pakistan. Besides Christians, people from Kadiyani sects were also being targeted. The Pakistan government has international pressure that it should make an amendment in it. The government was contemplating over it but no one could dare to do something in this regard after the hullabaloo caused by radicals. A leader of Barelvi sect Maulawi Khadin Hussain Rizvi demanded termination of the law minister because he just thought of amending this law. The law minister was forced to resign looking at the pressure of demonstrators. First statement started against making this law soft and later violent protests started. The government tried to remove Dharna by force which had led to violent protest in Pakistan. This entire protest movement in Pakistan has been linked to India. Siyasat on September 27 expressed concern over the condition of Pakistan that the way people of the country were opposed to softening the law against disrespecting prophet and his relatives making it clear that there should be no leniency on disrespecting Prophet and his relatives. The newspaper wrote that religious organisations of Pakistan have deep impact on minds of people of Pakistan as far as disrespecting Prophet was concern this is a very sensitive matter. The Pakistan government must take every step very cautiously so the situation must not deteriorate further. II General gets life term for mass killing of Muslims According to Inquilab (November 23), killer of thousands of Muslims in Bosnia General Ratko Mladić has been given life imprisonment. It was told to the court that in the 1990s in the battle of Bosnia thousands of Muslims were killed by the order of this General. Mladić was called butcher of Bosnia who is alleged to be the murderer of 7000 Muslims. He was also responsible for killing 1000 of Muslims in a city. A tribunal of United Nations also held him guilty. When 74-year-old Mladić was sentenced he started shouting so he was thrown out of the court. This is to recall that after the war ended in 1995 Mladić fled from Bosnia and was living a life of isolation. He was hidden for 16 years. Sahafat on November 24 welcomed life imprisonment to the so-called killer of Muslims and said that this incidence took place in 1990 when Yugoslavia was disintegrating. This General deliberately ran a campaign so a strong nation could be made for Serbs. During the Malabak campaign around 45 thousand people were killed. They were killed on roads, homes and house arrest camps. Chief of the Human Right Organisation Khalid al Hasan welcomed this decision and said that violence in Balkan killed 1.30 lakh people in which 1 lakh were Muslims. According to Sahafat (November 30), accused of the mass murderer of the Bosnia mass killing consumed poison after his appeal was rejected. International court sentenced him to death. He appealed in the Hague court in Holland. This is to recall that War Crime Tribunal of United Nations sentenced death to this General for killing Bosnian Muslims in As per the recent information this General died in the hospital and the government was investigating that how did poison reach him in the police custody? India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,

III Jamate Islami leaders sentenced to death According to Roznama Rashtriya Sahara (November 23), a court in Bangladesh sentenced six Jamate Islami leaders to death for helping Pakistan during Bangladesh liberation. They included a former MP. According to Daily Star they were alleged for killing Hindus. They were also alleged for looting, killing of leaders of Student League. This is to recall that last year 72 year old Jamate Islami leader Amir Matiurahman Nizami was hanged. Several other people were sentenced to death for killing Hindus, destroying their temples and localities. Those 15 people have been sentenced to death were alleged to be part of the Al Badar terrorist organisation. Some of them have been hanged. Jamate Islami sources said that the government was implicating its opponents in false charges. According to Akhbar Mashriq (November 25), president of Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Gilani criticised Bangladesh for sentencing death to Jamate Islami leaders and said that ever since Bangladesh was created the government there is in the constant war and Islamic leaders are selectively killed and all this was being done to keep India happy. He alleged that death sentence to Jamate Islami leader with the connivance and help of India was murder which will have dangerous repercussions. He appealed to leaders of Islamic nations that they must raise voice against this atrocity. IV Famous terrorist Hafiz Saeed arrested and released and arrested According to Pratap (December 1), Pakistan kneeling under international pressure once again arrested the mastermind and chief of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah Hafiz Saeed. As per Times Now channel he was arrested but why was he arrested was not known to anyone. Besides that the US also opposed his release from the jail. It is said that like every time the case framed against Hafiz was very week so he will be released from jail. According to Akhbar Mashriq (November 23), a court in Pakistan has released mastermind of the Mumbai attack and Jama'at-ud-Da'wah chief Hafiz Saeed from house arrest. This is to recall that he was house arrest in his house. Lawyer of Sayeed A K Dogra said that if Sayeed is criminal he must be punished but if there was no evidence against he must be released. The court refusing to extent his house arrest for three months released him. This is to recall that this year on January 31 Hafiz Saeed and his four associates Abdullah Obaid, Zafar Iqbal, Abdur Rahman Abid and Qazi Qasif Niyaz were on house arrest under anti-terrorist law. The US announced Rs one crore booty over Hafiz s head. According to Inquilab (November 25), Hafiz Saeed said that he would continue jihad against India. Addressing a rally of his supporters, he said that he was going to Pakistan occupied Kashmir. He had also met Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin. Hafiz said that he would continue his effort to get Kashmir free from the slavery of India. He said that the Pakistan government arrested him under pressure from India and the US. Huge number of his supporters gathered outside his house and showered flower shouting slogan. Another accused Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi also met Hafiz Saeed. It is said that they discussed intensifying jihad in Kashmir. According to Siyasat (November 26), former director of the intelligence department of the US Mike Moral said that hands of Hafiz Saeed had blood strains. He was the main conspirator in the Mumbai attack case. Moral tweeted Hafiz Saeed is a terrorist who encourages terrorism in Kashmir and had links with al Qaida. Now, he wants to drag terrorism in the politics of Pakistan. India Policy Foundation 1-15 December,
