2 Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, On May 17, 1925, Pope Pius XI canonized Saint Theresa and on November 12 th of that same year the new Parish in Hellertown was entrusted to her care. Today we celebrate the 92 nd Anniversary of the founding of our Parish. While we recognize that many things have changed in our Parish over the years, one thing remains constant: our dedication to our Parish Patron, Saint Theresa of the Child Jesus. Saint Theresa is our friend and companion on our journey of Faith. Her Little Way of spirituality reminds us that we do not need to do extraordinary things for God, we simply need to do the everyday tasks of our lives with love for God and love for neighbor. Just as God gave Saint Theresa a vocation, a path to holiness, He gives each of us a vocation, our path to holiness. For most, the vocation is to be a husband or a wife, to be a mother or a father. For some, it is to commit to a life of service to others through the ordained and consecrated life or through the dedicated single life. No matter what vocation God gives us, it is full of routine tasks. These everyday tasks can become a burden to us if we do not see them in the proper light. Saint Theresa teaches us that every task is an opportunity to bring God s love to others. It may seem small, it may seem insignificant, it may often go unnoticed or unappreciated, but if we do it with love for God and love for others it transforms our heart and thereby it transforms the world. Through the Intercession of Our Lady of Fatima, May the Peace of Christ be with You Always, Father Tauber SACRAMENTAL ENROLLMENT MASSES Enrollment for First Holy Communion Candidates and Year 2 Confirmation Candidates Saturday, November 11, 5:00 PM Sunday, November 12, 9:30 AM As our children and youth enroll themselves as Candidates for the Sacraments of First Eucharist and Confirmation, we, the Parish Family of Faith, commit ourselves to praying for them and their families. Throughout November we offer our Rosary for all the Faithful Departed and for the purification of the Souls in Purgatory. REMEMBERING OUR DECEASED LOVED ONES Since its earliest days, the Church has prayed for the purification of the souls of the faithful departed and all who have died in friendship with God. The month of November in particular is dedicated to prayer and penance for our brothers and sisters who have gone before us to eternal life. With confidence in the mercy and compassion of God, we lift them up in prayer, asking God to free them from their sins, to purify their souls, and to raise them up to eternal glory in heaven. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon them. May all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
