Memory Verse: Nothing can separate us from God s love. Romans 8:39, NIrV Bible Story Focus: God made me. God made people Genesis 1:26-27 Make It True (, 20 minutes) After children have participated in Make It Fun, gather them for a large group time that includes interactive worship, introductory sketch and Bible story. Encourage children to be active during worship by incorporating the appropriate hand motions. Worship Never Be Alone Tell Me Who. What You Need: Paperclip Memory Verse Card (from the week one Activity Pages on the Web site) in your Bible at Romans 8:39. TEAM LEADER: Hello, friends! It s so good to see you! I m super excited because this month we re blasting off into a new year together. Count it down with me. Three, two, one, blast off! Way to go! All month long we re going to be learning our three basic truths. [Basic Truth] God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever. Whoop! I m so excited. And, when I ask you this very important question: Who loves you? I want you to say, [Bottom Line] God loves me! Let s try it. Who loves you? TEAM LEADER: Great job! You guys are awesome! 4 What incredible singers you are! This is going to be a fantastic month! Who loves you? TEAM LEADER: That s right! [Bottom Line] God loves me! In fact, our memory verse tells us that God loves us soooo much that we can t ever get away from His love. Let s learn it. Watch me say it and do the motions, and then you can do it with me. Nothing (shake your head side to side and wave your arms in front of you like you re saying no way ) can separate us (lock your fingers together in front of you and act like you can t pull them apart) from God s love (point up with one finger and then hug yourself), Romans 8:39. (Open your hands like a book.) Let s try that together. CHILDREN and TEAM LEADER: Nothing (shake your head side to side and wave your arms in front of you like you re saying no way ) can separate us (lock your fingers together in front of you and act like you can t pull them apart) from God s love (point up with one finger and then hug yourself), Romans 8:39. My, you all are a fantastic group of kids, I can just tell already. Our Bible story today is about God making people. In fact, did you know that God even made YOU? It s true! God made you and me, and no one is exactly alike. Turn to the person next to you. Do they look like you? No! Turn to the person on the other side of you. Do they look like you? No! You are the one and only you. Well let s start our Bible story video. CHILDREN and TEAM LEADER: People TEAM LEADER: Yes, God made people, like you and me. And God has made us all different, but we are His BEST creation. He made us so we could be His friends forever! He loves us more than the flowers. He loves us more than the birds. He loves us the most. [Bottom Line] God loves me and God loves you. Who loves you? [Bottom Line] God loves me! So, when I ask you: Who loves you? (hand to ear), you guys are going to yell out: [Bottom Line] God loves me! Ready? Who loves you? TEAM LEADER: That was really great. But I know you can say it louder. One more time. Who loves you? (Hand to ear.) TEAM LEADER: It s true, friends! God loves each and every one of you! Let s pray. [Do Open them, close them.
