8 Myrtle Wood Weeks Dunn Daily Record 04/02/2007 Mrs. Myrtle Wood Weeks, 92, of Dunn went to be with her Savior Friday, March 30, 2007, in Britthaven of Harnett. She was born Oct. 15, 1914, in Sampson County to the late Ernest and Estella Wood. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. She was noted for having one of the most beautiful yards on Jonesboro Road. One of her joys in life was cooking for her family and friends. She especially enjoyed preparing Sunday dinner for her pastors. Mrs. Weeks was a long-time member of St. Matthew PFWB Church where she was active in the choir and Ladies Auxiliary and was a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Walter K. Weeks; brothers, Willard, Junious "Junie" and Felton "Bill" Wood; and a sister, Cleo Bennett. Weeks; a son, Walt Weeks Jr. of Coats; three daughters, Sally Benson of Springfield, Va., Margie Stephenson of Dunn and Beverly Howard of Erwin; a sister, Grace Jackson of Greenwood, S.C.; three brothers, Henry Weeks of Wade, Wendell Weeks of Mt. Olive and Percy Weeks of Mt. Holly; two grandchildren; and six stepgrandchildren. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Skinner Funeral Home.
