3 Calvary welcomes Mr. Leroy Cannady today as he shares his testimony about his work with The Gideons International. Mr. Cannady joined The Gideons International in the early 80 s and has served as Camp President s Chaplin, Church Ministry Chairman, and Regional Program Leader. During the late 80 s and early 90 s, Mr. Cannady lived in India and worked with missionaries from Germany and the UK to plant churches in villages and hill country of South India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Mr. Cannady lives in Winston Salem, NC and has 8 children, 13 grandchildren and two great- C h u r c h L i f e U p d a t e s Photographs: Lifetouch sent some family photos to the church office this week. If you have not received your free 8x10, please contact the church office to pick it up. Where Is the Calvary Family? We all know where our church building is located. But our church family is spread out in neighborhoods all over Surry County and beyond! We d like to get a better idea of how God has positioned us to serve our community by finding out where you live. On the bulletin board just outside the sanctuary in the children s ministry hallway, please pin where your home is located on the map. Cakes Needed: We re asking Calvary s talented cooks to furnish cakes for this week s Fall Festival. If you are willing to provide one, please call Alex Bracey at Candy donations are welcomed as well and can be delivered to the church office. Youth Encounter: This evening, we will have a special Halloween Encounter for the youth. Kids, please wear your costumes. We ll have prizes for the best costumes, fun Halloween games and lots and lots of candy! Ladies Tea: All ladies are invited to the Ladies Tea hosted by B.Y.W. on Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the Calvary Fellowship Hall. Please join us for a time of fellowship with your Sisters in Christ. World Day of Prayer: Everyone is invited to be In Step with the Spirit as we celebrate Baptist Women s World Day of Prayer on Monday, November 3 at 7:00 PM here at Calvary. J.O.Y. Group: J.O.Y. will meet Wednesday, November 5, at 11:30 AM. The Hospice Choir will perform prior to lunch. Please plan to attend, bring extra food for our guests, and bring a friend. Also, the Group is planning a trip to Wohlfahrt Haus on Tuesday, December 2. If you would like to attend, contact Frances McBride. The cost is $35.
