Thanks to everyone who has proposed new members and to those who have recently been initiated, congratulations and welcome! Please make yourself at home and feel free to jump in to help and/or suggest ways we can grow and improve our lodge. Remember as we head into the month of July and celebrate Independence Day that the Fourth of July isn t all about barbecues and fireworks. It s also about freedom, liberty and the birthday of our country. Thank you to everyone who has served or is serving to protect our country. If you will be traveling for the holiday weekend or on vacation, have fun and return home safely. The Strength of a Nation lies in the homes of its people. The Kingsville Elks Lodge was well represented with a total of thirteen traveling to Dallas the first of June. 3 + July Elks Round-Up Pg.3 House Committee Hope everyone is enjoying their summer. As warm as it is outside, it s cool at the Lodge. I want to welcome a new bartender/ waitress, Kash Irons. Will be putting in the new cash register system to make things more streamline and bookkeeping easier. Thanks to the Lodge, Auxiliary, Bucho and Sylvia for making this possible. Thanks to Ike Eisenhauer, Ed Reynolds, Jack Lutenbacker and George Moore for all the technical support. Thanks to Roy and Jeremie for electrical and physical support. Be looking for more specials in July in the kitchen and lounge. Thanks again to the Lodge and Auxiliary membership for your loyal support. He/She should also contact the candidate s proposer, outline the problem, and make him/her aware of the objection to the candidate. Sickness & Distress Jack Pruemer, husband of member Ida Pruemer, passed away on June 20th. If you know or hear of an Elk or family member who are ill or has passed away, please notify us by leaving a note with the Lodge Attendant or by calling one of the Lodge Officers Auxiliary News Four auxiliary members joined nine Kingsville Elks in traveling to Dallas for the State Convention from June 1 st - 4 th ; who would have ever thought that three cars of us leaving at different times from different places would have the same lunch stop on the way up? It happened, and without any prior communication, small world! I have to personally thank everyone for turning the trip into a huge birthday celebration for me from the room being decorated for my arrival to the huge group that had birthday dinner with me that night as well. It is always a great experience traveling to Elk conventions and functions, hope everyone makes some time to go to future events. Thanks to everyone who attended the Flag Day celebration put on by the Elks and Legion members and for bringing the great food to share with all. Also, thanks to all who brought desserts and worked the public fish fry bake sale; these fundraisers are what keep the money coming in for us to be able to donate to some great causes, provide scholarships, make purchases for the lodge and so much more. May s game night was a great success and I have been asked to put it on the calendar again, so, looking at Saturday, July 29 th (Bring Your Own Steak night); watch for signs around the lodge or on Facebook for more details but save the date to come out and join in the fun! If summer finds you traveling, may you be safe on the road, if you are around, we would love you to join us at the lodge, be it for a meeting, dinner, drinks or just a visit!
