4 Cold Springs Preschool is open for registration for the school year. We have a wonderful, caring preschool and would love the opportunity to have your 1-5 year old enrolled. A registration form is on our website coldspringsumc.org, then click the preschool tab. Please call and Carol Hendry, the Preschool Director, will be happy to schedule a tour or answer questions. M.Y. Heart's ministry is collecting supplies to make blessing bags for the homeless. These items include such things as pocket Bibles, travel shampoos, conditioners, soap, and other necessities. A green bin is located under the mailboxes in the hallway behind the sanctuary and in the narthex. A list of other items are located on the flyer at these collection bins. If you have questions about this new outreach, Julie Love at jaxandcb@yahoo.com. I know it seems like a long time til Summer right now but we need to start thinking about CAMP! We will open registration for Fuge (completed 6th-12th grade) and CentriKids Camp (completed 3rd- 5th graders) starting DEC 1 and continuing through DEC 30 for active CSUMC participants, Jan 1 we will accept registration for other youth who are not active participants of our church & their registration will be $100. In order for you to be registered I need a $50 deposit, that is all, no paperwork for now! (that will come at a later date). Camp is June Price is $ per youth Deposits can be turned into the church office or offering plate (please mark what its for & the youths name) or give to Christy Baggarly or Terri Pruitt!! Last important thing WE NEED HELP WITH ADULT VOLUNTEERS! ESPECIALLY MALES, so please be in prayer for this and help us be able to go to camp, if we don't have enough adults we will have to turn kids away! 5 The board of Trustees needs your help to ensure proper maintenance of our buildings and grounds. We appreciate any notification on areas, structures or items that need repair or replacement. If you have any concerns please call the church office at or Angela at and she will contact the Trustees. This central line of communication will allow the committee to have better oversight of all that needs to be done and provides documentation for the church in respect to ongoing projects. There is a new Mailbox on the church grounds, but it is not for US Mail or Personal Mail The mailbox is located at the Historic Spring for the many people who come daily from Cabarrus County and neighboring areas to fill their jugs and containers full of spring water and ask about the history of the spring. Three pages of information The Historic Spring, Brush Arbor, Revivals, and Camp Meetings, with a daily devotional attached, is available in the mailbox. A special thank-you to Brenda Long, member of the Committee on History and Records, for being in charge of the project; Larry Craven, a fairly new member of our church and a new member of the Trustees, for placing the mailbox at the spring; and to Lindsey Love for doing the lettering on the mailbox. If you would like to have a copy of the History of the Spring, please see Church Historian Barbara Bost The 2018 flower calendar is on the bulletin board in the back hallway beside the mailboxes. Please feel free to sign up for any available dates.

6 They re back Wednesday Night Meals are returning, beginning Wednesday, January 10. The Cubs and Boys Scouts of Cold Springs UMC are fundraising for their various events/trips and they will be sponsoring the meals. Meals will be served from 5:30pm 7:00pm. Please indicate on the weekly attendance sheet or call the church office or ) by noon on Mondays to sign up. Below are the January menus: January 24: Baked spaghetti, salad, garlic bread January 31: Chicken & dumplings, cornbread Invitation to all Ladies: Has your heart been yearning for a closer relationship with God? Do you crave more time to study His word and develop Christ based relationships with other women of faith? Please join the Methodist Women on Sunday, January 21 st from 3:00 pm 5:00 pm in Krimminger Hall for a program on Faith and Works. During our time of gathering as sisters in Christ, Jannette Kluttz will guide us in a study of Acts 9: Dorcas and her work to help others, the death of Dorcas, Peter praying and then presenting her alive. We hope you can attend and let the Holy Spirit speak to your heart. Be prepared to receive a special blessing! Jannette is asking our Sisters in Faith to bring the following. a paired nonperishable food item (Examples of paired food: Mac & Cheese, Cream and Sugar, Salt and pepper, etc. Food donations will be given to local food ministry (Mt Pleasant Food Ministry) *The most unique will win the Golden Pear Award Please pray and listen for God s call for this New Year. And then resolve to put your foot upon HIS path, and then see where HE may lead you.
