4 Save the Date: April 15 th, 3:00 5:00 pm UMW Praise & Worship Gathering: BEING PRESENT IN HIS PRESENCE Is your time limited to just be in God s presence? You re invited to join us for Praise and Worship to refocus our attention on God. Despite busy lives and a world full of distractions, God can meet all of our needs. Spend an afternoon praising His many names and all that He is for us. We praise God for the many blessings He has provided for us, and we want to extend these blessings to others. We will host a baby shower for C-VAN and the Crisis Pregnancy Center. Items on the baby registry to bless these little ones are diapers, wipes or onesies. Ephesians 2:10 For we are God s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Cold Springs Preschool is open for registration for the school year. We have a wonderful, caring preschool and would love the opportunity to have your 1-5 year old enrolled. A registration form is on our website coldspringsumc.org, then click the preschool tab. Please call and Carol Hendry, the Preschool Director, will be happy to schedule a tour or answer questions. M.Y. Heart's ministry is collecting supplies to make blessing bags for the homeless. These items include such things as pocket Bibles, travel shampoos, conditioners, soap, and other necessities. A green bin is located under the mailboxes in the hallway behind the sanctuary and in the narthex. A list of other items are located on the flyer at these collection bins. 5 The Cubs and Boys Scouts of C o l d Sp r i n g s UMC are fundraising for their various events/trips and they will be sponsoring the meals. Meals will be served from 5:30pm 7:00pm. April 4: NO MEAL SERVED April 11: Baked Chicken Macaroni & Cheese Green Beans April 18: Baked Ziti Salad April 25: Chicken & Dumplings Green Beans Slaw Ladies please join us each Wednesday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. beginning Wednesday, April 18, 2018 through Wednesday, May 30, 2018 for Priscilla Shirer s study He Speaks to Me: Preparing to Hear from God. In He Speaks to Me, Priscilla shows us how God spoke to Samuel and how He speaks to Christians today. Why do we settle for the Word of the Lord revealed to someone else and passed on to us as if God does not speak to us individually? This shouldn t satisfy us. He wants us to hear His voice, understand, and obey. The Lord desires to speak to us personally. He wants to meet us where we are despite who we are and reveal His will for our lives. God is going to reveal Himself and His plan for you in new ways. Make a commitment to be obedient to whatever He says. The results will be glorious. UMYF Retreat May COLD SPRINGS UMW: Reading Program All Youth in 6th 12th grades are invited and welcome to attend! $25 deposit due by April 29. Just a friendly reminder, please be mindful to lock doors and turn out lights before leaving. On numerous occasions recently, doors have been left unlocked overnight and lights left on. Thank you! New books are in for the month of March! We have books for every age! Please take a look at the book shelf, located in the back of the church nearest the right-side church door exit. If you or your child would like to read a book, please sign the book log, and ENJOY!
