We are delighted to welcome you in our Christian community. We invite all to journey with us in ministry and mission. Please indicate a desire to join us by contacting the pastor. Stop by our welcome table in the narthex for further information and stop in the parlor for a cup of coffee between services! LARGE PRINT hymnals, bulletins and Bibles are readily available; please ask an usher if you need help finding one. For those with children: We are glad you are here! There is a children s cart with Children s Worship Bulletins and Activity Bags which include crayons. The bulletins contain activities and coloring sheets that match the sermon and scripture. We love to have the children stay in worship (wiggles and giggles are welcomed and sacred sounds). Yet, if you would like your child to attend the nursery (birth-5), it is staffed with Safe Sanctuary trained individuals. You are welcome to bring them at any time during the service. 2 Flowers on the Lord s Table are in celebration of our newest baptized member, Addison Romagnola (parents Adam and Caitlin). Reminder about Poinsettias! Orders for poinsettias are due this week! Give or send them to Jane Tucker, or place them in the large envelope on the welcome table in the narthex. Mission/Service Opportunities Check out the Advent Giving Center in the Parlor; Christmas Food Bags, Star Tree, and the Rose Fell UMW Mitten Tree. Volunteers needed for delivering Christmas bags on December 22. Please contact Sue Scheirer, ; deliveries in the Perinton area. Make this a special season by lighting the Advent Wreath. The sign-up sheet is in the hallway across from the office. Only two spots left! Perinton Food Shelf needs: coffee, hot chocolate, bottled juice, sugar, jelly, ketchup, mustard, salad dressing, canned hash, canned chili, canned beef stew, sloppy joes/manwich, shampoo, facial tissues, cereal, oatmeal. Learning/Fellowship Opportunities Deborah Circle will meet at Riki s at 11:30am on Wednesday, Dec. 12. Naomi Circle will have their Christmas brunch on Thursday, December 13 at 9:30am at Lorraine Rieck s house. Please bring a dish to pass. Those who are interested can car pool from the church parking lot. Women s Christmas/Advent Communion Service will be held December 17 at 7pm in the sanctuary. This is a special worship for women to quiet your mind and prepare for Jesus. Please bring children s mittens, hats or scarves for the Learning Links program. General Announcements Everyone is invited to Christmas carol at the Fairport Baptist Home on Sunday, Dec. 16. We will carol outside at 2pm and inside at 3pm. Then we will return to church for cocoa and cookies! Please sign up on the Children s Ministry Team bulletin board so we can plan for the cookies! A Family Advent Devotional is available for you to pick up on the table in the narthex. This devotional coordinates with our Calm and Bright theme for Advent. Use it with your Advent wreaths at home. They are also in electronic form in the Weekly Update. Providing flowers for the Lord's Table is a wonderful way to commemorate a special date. Sign up across from the office, and we will do the rest; cost is $20. Your thoughtfulness makes the sanctuary more beautiful, and you can take the arrangement home to enjoy after Sunday.

3 ATTENTION: Starting January 1, 2019 we will no longer be mailing our Cross and Flame newsletter. Our mailing list has gotten much smaller over the years with the technology of . The newsletter is available on our website and in our Weekly Update s and available to pick up on the table in the parlor for those who do not have .
