2 GOOD MORNING! WELCOME! If you are a guest with us today, please stop by the Welcome Center found outside both worship spaces to get more information about the faith family of FUMC Pearland. We also have a gift for you! If you have any uestions, please feel free to ask our Greeters, Ushers or Worship Leaders. You can always learn more about us at fumcpearland.org. For more information about the church, please contact Rev. Joseph Yoo, Ushers are available to you if you need a HEARING DEVICE or have any uestions. We want to do all we can to make worship a comfortable and meaningful experience for you and your family. The TEDDY BEARS in our worship services are part of a uniue ministry that serves our congregation and the community. The bears are washed, repaired (if needed), blessed and then can be taken to someone in need of love, cheer or a hug. The COMFORT ROOM located in the back of the Sanctuary is available for families with exuberant young children or for nursing mothers preferring privacy. Flowers are given to the glory of God and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx If you would like to honor or remember a loved one with FLOWERS in one of the worship spaces, please contact Karen, Now Accepting Applications for Stephen Ministers Contact Rev. 3 THIS WEEK As we continue a new program that will help us strengthen our prayer life. Every day, set your alarm for 3:16 pm, or early birds, 3:16 am. When that time comes, stop for a second to pray for our church. Imagine the power of hundreds of people praying at the same time! If you need help remembering the time, just think of John 3:16. It s really easy, and it can help you and our congregation in our spiritual journey! Please join us and pray. JULY 1

4 ORDER OF WORSHIP Prelude TBD Welcome and Announcements Passing of the Peace *Hymn 147 All Things Bright and Beautiful Prayer of Confession (All offer prayers of confession in silence.) Almighty God, we confess that we are often swept up in the tide of our generation. We have failed in our calling to be your holy people, a people set apart for your divine purpose. We live more in apathy born of fatalism than in passion born of hope. We are moved more by private ambition than by social justice. We dream more of privilege and benefits than of service and sacrifice. We try to speak in your name without relinuishing our glories, without nourishing our goals, without relying wholly on your grace. Help us to make room in our hearts and lives for you. Forgive us, revive us, and reshape us in your image. Amen. We Believe Hymn 191 (Verse 1) In The Power of Prayer Jesus Loves Me (10:45) Children (K-4th grade) are invited to attend WOW (Worship Our Way)! Kids will follow a shepherd from the service to room B106 to participate in a time of age appropriate music, prayer and Bible story. Please pick your children up in B106 after the service. Anthem Just a Closer Walk with Thee, arr. Mark Hayes Sermon *Hymn 358 Peace Be with You Rev. Barbara Fyffe Colossians & 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NRSV) Dear Lord and Father of Mankind

5 *Statement of Faith: Affirmation from Romans 8:35, Hymnal 887 *Gloria Patri:71 Glory Be to the Father Pastoral Prayer and the Lord s Prayer Offertory Prayer Offertory Voluntary *During the offering time you will see children moving through the sanctuary collecting money for the God Box. This money goes to help support the assistance ministries of FUMC Pearland. TBD *Doxology: 94 *Hymn 431 Praise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow Let There Be Peace on Earth *Benediction Postlude TBD * Please stand if you are able.
