First, they are transitioning from secondary school to the next big thing. Life will never be the same. Second, the changes they face make definite demands. If work is the direction they are going, then it must be sought out, resumes filled, references checked. Laying back and waiting for employers to show up on the doorstep with job offers will not happen. For the graduate who chooses how to go, they will decide what to study, who to approach for work, or how to educate them-selves to get to the next stage of their lives. They can change with purpose. So also, in the church we can let change happen to us or we can change with purpose. Jesus tells us in Mark 16 to go into all the world..., an active event. Paul tells Titus to appoint elders in every town.... It doesn t happen automatically, it is decidedly
