They will update us on the work they are doing in French speaking Africa and let us know how our support helped. 2 Informational Meeting Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, hangups, & habits of any kind. Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life. Run by Norman & Kristie Adkins We will be serving pizza please see the sign-up in the hall October 7, pm High School Youth Group Activities CAMP FIRE SING ALONG LASER TAG CHRISTMAS PARTY Join us as we roast marshmallows, fellowship with other Christians, and enjoy singing under the stars. All of the high school youth group is invited, and of course, their parents as well. We will be right here at the building for this event. For more info, see Tim Jones. Laser tag is a fun and exciting way for us to build teamwork and relationships among our teens. We will be meeting at Extreme Adventures on 54 in Land O Lakes. The laser tag is $20 for unlimited play but there are also refreshments and other games. See Tim Jones for more info Back by popular demand we will be hosting a teen Christmas and white elephant party. All you need is your self and a wrapped gift under $10. 4 Reignite Our Passion for Lordship! September 23, 2018 Matthew 7:21-23 ( NIV ) 21 Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles? 23 Then I will tell them plainly, I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers! What is Lordship? Lordship is 1. Sovereign - one that exercises supreme authority within a limited sphere an acknowledged leader Matthew 8:2 ( NIV ) 2 A man with leprosy came and knelt before him and said, Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean. "In God you come up against something which is in every respect immeasurably superior to yourself. Unless you know God as that-and, therefore, know yourself as nothing in comparison-you do not know God at all. " C.S. Lewis Isaiah 5:20 (NIV) 20 Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

5 2. Matthew 22:37-38 ( NIV ) 37 Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. Deuteronomy 5:7 ( NIV ) 7 You shall have no other gods before me. If you don t trust God with all, then you don t trust God at all 3. Matthew 25:16-30 Observations about the parable of the talents 1. God has entrusted blessings to us. (Vs. 14) 2. God s gifts are not equally given. (Vs. 15) 3. People respond differently to what God has given them. (Vs ) 4. We will be held accountable. (Vs. 19) 5. God will reward those who develop their talents.

7 Bibles On October 7, 2018 we will be taking up a special contribution to purchase Bibles for people in the impoverished country of the Dominican Republic. It was announced that the Bibles cost around $15 a piece, however we have great news we have found a wholesaler here in the states where we can buy the same Bible for $2.50 and ship with our Magi boxes. Our goal is to buy 1,000 Bibles and any funds that are left over will be added to a special Mission Trip Scholarship Fund to aid those willing to serve in the mission field. Help us take the Gospel to the ends of the earth! Bibles & Boxes Magi Boxes As many of you already know Neal has challenged us to take one of the Magi boxes and fill them with gifts for the children of the Dominican Republic. All 70 boxes have been claimed and we even have a few coming back in nice and full. Remember these boxes are due on October 21, 2018 so we can load them up and transport them to Ft. The Case for the Holy Spirit Join us Wednesday nights as we explore the power and work of the Holy Spirit. Take away a more practical understanding and sound Biblical foundation on the Holy Spirit.
