Condolences may be sent to Steve Miller, 5433 Horizon Dr. NE, Fridley MN Missions: v Joel and Angela S. ask us to pray for their student visa to be granted, which would be good for one year. Pray for good planning and opportunities in their partnering with a local cohort for their business platform. Pray for the joy of the Lord to sustain them in times of loneliness and challenges. v Ric E. is involved in three strategic partnerships. He will help establish some training centers in targeted USA cities. This week he will be in Cuba to offer materials and training to local pastors. He is involved in similar coaching in the Dominican Republic. He continues to mentor the National Director for the Navigators Hispanic Network in the USA. v NEW Opportunity: Five Russian international students are requesting help with shopping once a week. This comes from our friends at Oasis, the new collaborative effort to engage international students in the metro area. Please contact the mission team or church office, if you are interested in this ministry. More than one family could be involved. v Pray for Michael and Mary as they return soon from Nigeria. Mary is working with the teachers for Vacation Bible Camp. Pray for team as they prepare for VBCamp in July. The TGSSA banquet will be held on May 5. v Pray for Troy C. who will be ordained this summer. Praise for Heather s new position as office manager for the Provost at North Park University. Nicolas will graduate this spring and attend college at North Park this fall. v Pray for an upcoming Asian trip for David D. His team will be teaching in at least three different countries. v Steve and Jane W. would love to host an English Character Camp team from Grace. Let the mission team know of your interest. Sometimes a few people can join another team. v Pray for FreedomWorks as they reschedule their Annual Banquet. v Steve A. is planning a trip for Hurricane Harvey Crisis Response in April. v Continue to pray for some of our young adults who are preparing for longer term missionary involvement. Mission Focus: Renee Y. is praising the Lord for His healing hand on her after being extremely ill at the end of last year, in connection with one of her chemo drugs. After recovery, she has changed care centers. Her new oncologist is a specialist for her metastatic breast cancer. After two months on a new trial drug in combination with a proven drug, tumors in her abdomen have shrunk 18%. With renewed health and strength, she is back to full-time ministry at Immigrant Hope. With many changes to immigration policies, pray for Renee and other staff to help minister to immigrants by praying with them and by listening to their fears and their stories. Pray for wisdom in helping each immigrant to obtain the most secure immigration status available for them.
