2 Exchange Seminar Announcements Join IBCS as Pastor Jeff Musgrave presents The Exchange, a ministry designed to teach Christians how to build redemptive relationships. On Wednesday, October 10, there will be a special Exchange session held in the Heritage Chapel in the IBCS building from 6:15 p.m.-7:30 p.m. IBCS would love to have members of Tri-City Baptist Church join in on this evening session. The Exchange could be your tool to put into practice the truths that God taught you through Missions Conference! Men s Retreat October is this year s TBC Annual Men s Retreat at Mountain Meadow Ranch near Payson, AZ. Be sure to come with your Bibles, bedding, and best friend! Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. on Friday night, but feel free to arrive any time after 1:00 p.m. Register TODAY at the TBC Welcome Center. See Pastor Jeff with any questions. New Members Class: Doorway Fellowship Our next Doorway Fellowship begins October 21 at 10:45 a.m. in room A-268 (on the second floor). This eight-week class is a great opportunity for prospective members to connect with Pastor Mike Sproul. Topics from theology to fundamentalist history to church operations and more will be addressed during this class. Sign up at the Welcome Center! 3 Family Fun Night Get Involved! Family Fun Night is just around the corner! This year it will fall on Wednesday, October 31. We will need many volunteers for the evening. Pastor Bryan Miller has four different ways you can help with this event: Donate baked goods for the Cake Walk Run games Set up and/or tear down Donate candy Pastor s Recommendation The Children s Bible in 365 Stories This best-selling book contains all the stories of the Bible from the Creation account to Revelation. There is a story for every day, making this book a constant companion all year round. What better way to introduce children to some of the best stories ever written! This is a very special book to treasure. You can purchase it in our bookstore. Book of the Month Instruments in the Redeemer s Hands Paul David Tripp helps us discover where change is needed in our own lives and in the lives of others. Following the example of Jesus, Tripp reveals how to get to know people, and how to lovingly speak truth to them. You can purchase it in our bookstore! Memorizing God's Word in 2018! Week Forty : Joshua 1:8 (NKJV) This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

4 Care & Share Groups Week of October 7, 2018 Welcome Did you ever rake up leaves as a kid and run and jump in them? Worship Psalm 57:1-11. Take these moments to worship and glorify God. Exalt Him and praise Him! Share the joys and sorrows of life with those around you. Pray for one another. Lift up others in prayer and let them know of your concern. Word Romans 12:9-13. List some of the examples from this text of what a Spirit-filled Christian looks like. Why do you think some of these are listed and some other items are not? How do you put these characteristics of the Christ-life into your life? Romans 12: List some examples from this text of what a Spirit-filled Christian will do. Why do you think Paul emphasizes blessing rather than vengeance as the pathway to forgiveness? How do you grow in forgiveness to those who have abused you? Romans 12: What is the ultimate goal of heaping coals of fire on an enemy s head? Why does giving God room to strike vengeance become so hard for us? How do you let go of anger and hurt Biblically? Witness Keep your eyes and ears open to God s goodness and to those who need a touch from Him. You may be the vehicle God has chosen to be grace in that hurting life. Don t walk away from that privilege!
