2 Combined ABF with Pastor Mike Next Sunday, January 13, we will have a combined ABF in the auditorium with Pastor Mike. Please plan to attend! TBC Workday Men s Prayer Breakfast Our monthly Men s Prayer Breakfast is on Saturday, January 19, at 8:00 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Men, make a point of fellowshipping, praying, and developing Biblical goals for yourself, your family, and the church. Enjoy the breakfast for $3. Invite someone else to come with you! On Saturday, January 26, at 8:00 a.m. the Nehemiah Company and TBC volunteers will begin preparation work for the West Playground Renovation Project. Tasks include the removal of gravel, turf, and some equipment. On Saturday, February 23, at 8:00 a.m. we will have a second workday to install and clean up. Please consider how you will participate! TCA Open House Event Announcements 2019 Evangelistic Meetings Begin praying for our evangelistic meetings with Evangelist Ron DeGarde & Family on January Sunday through Wednesday will be directed to the church as a whole. Thursday will be Teen Night while Friday will target college age men and women. Expect God to do great things! More details coming soon. Mark your calendars for Friday, January 25, 6:00-8:00 p.m. TCA will be hosting an open house to celebrate National School Choice Week. Book of the Month Most of us know the name of Charles Spurgeon, London s most famous preacher, but few know the name (or story) of his wife Susie. Susie wrote books, founded and managed a book fund for impoverished pastors, reared twin boys, and was instrumental in planting a church after Charles died all while battling crippling health problems. Her resilience, kind and generous spirit, and her love for Jesus and His Church will embolden you to aspire to more in the Christian life.

Each of the following classes will begin on January 20, at 6:00 p.m. Pick one and plan to attend! Financial Peace Mr. Hercel Spears, Room A-268 Learn how money works and how to make money work for you. Using tried and tested principles, young and old alike can get out of debt and prepare for the financial road ahead by participating in this tremendously effective class. The Teen Years: Parenting for Success Pastor Ken Endean, Room A-272 Ephebiphobia the fear of teenagers. Generally our culture dreads the teen years. Unfortunately, this cultural perspective takes a biological view that fails to emphasize the heart. Rather than parenting with a survival mentality, the goal ought to be to strive for Biblical success. Our ultimate goal is not for good kids, but Godly kids who set their hope in God, and keep his commandments (Psalm 78:7). Apologetics for the 21st Century Pastor Nathan Mestler, Room A-273 How do Christian men and women today give a defense for the hope that is within them? How do they stand for truth in the midst of social and moral relativism? Pastor Nathan Mestler provides these and other insights in his class. Come to be prepared with Apologetic tactics for 21st Century ministry. Personal Media and the Christian Pastor David Stertzbach II, Room A-279 How do we live the Christian life in areas of personal media: television, books, movies, gaming, social media, music, live theater, internet usage, and more? This class is a guided discussion that seeks to provide clarity in personal media choices for the Christian by applying Biblical principles to everyday life. The Christian Professional Pastor Daniel Llorente, Room A-297 Christian and Professional should be considered complementary terms. Through this class, one can learn both the theology and the practical outworking of living as a Minister Member while working as a true Biblical professional within a secular environment. 8 Chinese New Year Around the Corner, Around the World Tri-City Chinese New Year Outreach Event on 2/2/2019 Our Chinese New Year celebration dinner and outreach event has been scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Due to the overwhelming interest from the local community, we invite our church, TCA, and TFT families to purchase tickets with your international students, Asian neighbors, and/or co-workers of various ethnic backgrounds in mind. The ticket sale has been opened to the general public via the Chinese Ministry webpage ( We expect the tickets to sell out fast. Because seating is limited, we ask that you prayerfully invite guests with the intention to further build friendships beyond the event. While a Gospel message will be clearly presented, the event is meant to be a bridge to help build relationships between Christians and the local community so more will see the love of Christ and open up their hearts to the Gospel. Ways to partner and help: 1. Pray for God to use the event to save souls and to draw people close together and closer to Him 2. Invite your students, neighbors, and co-workers all backgrounds are welcome! 3. Participate by volunteering to be a host family and/or helping in another capacity. Invite and purchase for or with your guests ASAP.
