2 Combined ABF with Pastor Mike Today and January 27, ABFs will be combined in the auditorium. Pastor Mike will speak this morning and Evangelist Ron DeGarde will speak on the 27th. Please plan to attend! Church Business Meeting A church business meeting will be conducted tonight at the beginning of the Evening Service. Members, please plan to attend. TBC Workday On Saturday, January 26, at 8:00 a.m., the Nehemiah Company, TCA families, and TBC volunteers will prepare the West Playground for renovation. Please bring wheelbarrows, rakes, shovels, and brooms as you make your plans to help. Work will include sweeping, shoveling, raking, and removing items from the area. Young and old alike will have plenty to do. Lunch will be served at noon. On Saturday, February 23, at 8:00 a.m., we will have our second workday. This day will be one of cleaning and preparing the playground for reopening. Please consider how you will participate! 2019 Evangelistic Meetings Announcements Prepare your heart now for the blessings of the Evangelistic Meetings with Evangelist Ron DeGarde and family, starting next Sunday, January 27. Come each evening Sunday through Wednesday to experience the Word of God preached by Brother Ron, soul-stirring music provided by his family, and a continuing story a servant of God presented each night Reader s Theatre style by the DeGarde family. Please pray for the Lord to work in the hearts of students as Brother Ron will be preaching in TCA and IBCS chapels throughout the week. Sunday services will be at 9:15 a.m., 10:45 a.m., and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Wednesday services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday will be Teen Night at 6:00 p.m., while Friday will target college-aged men and women at 6:00 p.m. Expect God to do great things! He went to be with the Lord just before last Thanksgiving. Welcome, Amelia Haven Utley! Family News Matt and Tanya Utley welcomed baby Amelia into the world on Sunday, January 13. She weighed 8 lbs 11oz and measured 21.5 inches long. You can help the Utleys by signing up for the meal train at Memorizing God's Word in 2019! 4 Tuition Tax Credit Tuition Tax Credit Please do not forget to take advantage of the Arizona Tuition Tax Credit. If you re new to Tri-City, you might not be familiar with this incredible program. Singles are allowed to redirect up to $1,089 ($546 in the Original program and the overflow in the PLUS Switcher of $543). Married couples can redirect up to $2,177 ($1,092 in the Original program and the overflow in the PLUS Switcher of $1,085). All Arizona workers owe state taxes. Arizona allows singles and married couples to redirect their state tax dollars to a tuition tax credit organization like TOPS for Kids. Donors take the donated money as a credit against the Arizona state taxes they owe when they file their state tax returns. Donors can recommend private schools or students they would like the money to go to. If left blank, the funds go to help low-income families with education costs. It is one of the biggest ministries to our Tri-City Christian Academy families! Go to for more information and to redirect your state tax dollars. 8 Chinese New Year Around the Corner, Around the World Tri-City Chinese New Year Outreach Event on 2/2/2019 Our Chinese New Year celebration dinner and outreach event is scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019, 5:00-8:00 p.m. Due to the overwhelming interest from the local community, we invite our church, TCA, and TFT families to purchase tickets with your international students, Asian neighbors, and/or co-workers of various ethnic backgrounds in mind. The ticket sale is open to the general public via the Chinese Ministry webpage ( Tickets are selling fast. Because seating is limited, we ask that you prayerfully invite guests with the intention to further build friendships beyond the event. While a Gospel message will be clearly presented, the event is meant to be a bridge to help build relationships between Christians and the local community so more will see the love of Christ and open up their hearts to the Gospel. Ways to partner and help: 1. Pray for God to use the event to save souls and to draw people close together and closer to Him 2. Invite your students, neighbors, and co-workers all backgrounds are welcome! 3. Participate by volunteering to be a host family and/or helping in another capacity.
