The Great Commission Women will be hosting their Celebrate 2018 National Conference on October in Lancaster, PA. Grammy Award winner Laura Story is the keynote speaker, Aaron and Sarah Shust will be giving the opening concert and message, and Jane Rubietta is the Bible teacher. Six breakout session and a missions celebration are also planned (one of them is Melissa MacDonald who spoke at GAC IMPACT event a few months ago). Registration is $295, and lodging at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square is $139 +tax per night (total, for up to 4 per room). Go to: for more event details and registration information. 8 PAGE 8 Gospel Alliance Men s Ministry Bag Brigade Women s Appreciation Breakfast Men s Ministry (Alliance Men) During the month of May the Alliance Men sponsored a Women s Appreciation Breakfast that was well attended and an enjoyable time for all, and completed a six part, four session Bible study on the book of Galatians. Hosted by our Alliance Men Upcoming Events: The Alliance Men will be sponsoring a Men s BBQ later this summer. More information to follow. Do you have a skill or hobby that you are interested in teaching to other men? The Alliance Men are looking at putting together skills training. It would be an opportunity for men to get together with other Godly men and learn something new. If you are interested in teaching a session please contact Jason Usher at jason.usher@comcast.net. Alliance Men Women s Ministry Our Alliance Men coordinated, cooked, and served our women a meal at the Women s Appreciation Breakfast in May. We are so thankful to all our men for all they did for us, and they even included a devotion and prayed for us. We are so blessed by them!

9 GAC Annual Bike Ride Bag Brigade PAGE 9 Our GAC annual bike ride was a success. A big Thank You to Gregg and Jan Dongilli who organized this outing. God blessed us with a beautiful, sunny day a perfect day to catch up with old friends and a chance to meet new ones! We had over 30 men, women and children turn out for the ride. We started at the Train Station on the trail in West Newton and we all rode to Sutersville as a group. We stopped to rest at the pavilion by the Yough Twister where some bought refreshing treats. A group continued on farther to Buena Vista and then made the return trip back! If you didn t have an opportunity to ride with us this year think about joining us next year! The Bag Brigade Item of the Month for JUNE Mac & Cheese Once again, we want to say thank you to all of our church family who have supported us with The Bag Brigade ministry this past year. We look forward to watching what God will do next He never ceases to amaze us! You can drop your items off in the Café in the donation container! Thank You! Starting Point You're Invited! 10 PAGE 10 JOY Club Just Older Youth The JOY club met at 11:00 a.m. on May 3rd. Of course, we started with lots of delicious food. We were honored to have Cathy Nemoseck and her sons with us. Cathy spoke to us about how blessed the younger people are to have us JOY folks to share wisdom and also how important love is for all of us. The theme for May was "50's and 60's" TV shows. Thanks to all the decorators - each table represented a show. Linda and Dave Clark led us in a game. Dave played TV themes for us to guess. June's theme is ''Weddings". We are asked to bring our wedding pictures. Won't you join us on Thursday, June 7th at 11:00 a.m.? Welcome Team Welcome Team Appreciation Luncheon Thank you for your smiles and warm handshakes! You are an important part of this church and the first people we meet every Sunday morning! Please pray for them by name and for our time there. Pray for God to prepare the way and protect us as we go into their neighborhoods. Some of the people are already believers and we will be encouraging them. Others are people the church has been working with that aren't yet believers. It sounds like God has already been at work in their lives and I know this group will be giving a great help and encouragement to the church as you share your lives with these people.
