During the Reformation this text was used to refer to Luther s ministry and the Lutheran message: we have an eternal Gospel to proclaim. Christ has freed us from our sins without any works on our part! We are saved by grace alone! And ironically enough, Luther said this should make him the apostle of works: because once we are freed by grace, we are truly free to serve God in works that flow from thankfulness and praise. Witness: Celebrate the Reformation! We are made right with God in Jesus Christ, our Savior apart from observing the law. What a gift! NEW SELECTION OF CARDS Ladies Aid has a great selection of cards available on the rack in the Narthex: Cards are.50/card or 12/$5.00.
3 God Provides Judges And A King The 8th lesson for Sunday School is God s Servant Samuel 1 Samuel 1-3 For the sake of Christ, God, Who is ever eager to forgive us and grant us His grace, calls all to repentance through preachers such as Samuel.
