A mandatory preparation class for parents takes place the fourth Monday of every other month. Dates are: 2014: Jan. 27, Mar. 24, May 19. Call the Parish office to register. Sacrament of Matrimony An appointment with a parish priest needs to be made at least six months prior to the wedding date. PreCana or Engagement Encounter is required. FAITH FORMATION NEWS Elementary (Grades K-5) Religious Ed classes this week. Classes meet in the OLP school at 10:30AM. Dismissal is 12:15PM from the gym. First Reconciliation parent meeting next week, January 12, 2014, at 5:40PM in the church. All grade 2 parents must attend. Confirmation classes this week. Classes meet 6:00 to 8:00PM in the OLP School. Secondary (Grades 6-10) Religious Ed classes next week, January 12, 2014, 5:30 to 7:30PM in the OLP school. There is a great need for vocations in the Church today. One of the best ways to increase vocations is through prayer, and the greatest prayer we have is the holy sacrifice of the Mass. OLP Monthly Parish Project Day The Knights of Columbus, in conjunction with the OLP Properties Committee and the Hearts and Hands Committee, have established a monthly Parish Project Day to address renovation and maintenance needs within the parish. The Parish Project Day is the third Saturday of each month, and the next date is January 18 The day begins with Mass at 8:00AM, followed by a coffee/donut break, then project work from 9:00AM till Noon. Projects include: TBA Project teams will be set to address these tasks. We are looking for parish volunteers to help with these projects. This is an opportunity for high school students to complete service hours. Students must be at least 16 years old to participate.
