1 Upcoming Activities for Eastlawn United Methodist Church (Week of October 8, 2017) Our 8:30 Communion Worship Service will not be held this Sunday (October 8 th ) due to tropical storm/hurricane Nate. At 5:00 P.M. today we be reviewing the latest weather advisories and that time we will determine if it will be necessary to cancel other services. Chairperson: Carl Weihing We have many open dates for selling pumpkins: if you can help us with any of these dates please call or text Mickey Morie at All Pumpkin proceeds will be used to aid Hurricane Relief CARING & SHARING FESTIVAL Saturday, October 28, 10:00-2:00. We plan for this to be our biggest and best ever with all funds going to support the "Harvey & Irma" recovery. Our goal this year is $4000. This year, as in the past, our festival will highlight live musical performances on our main stage. Already scheduled are student choirs from College Park Elementary, Jackson Elementary, and Resurrection Catholic High School. The fantastic folk/rock duo, "Razoo", from Biloxi will also be on our stage this year along other outstanding acts to be announced. Also. *Gourmet hamburgers & hot dogs *a silent art auction *a kids fun land with inflatables and games *a giant bake sale *"blessing of the pets" *classic car competition *a variety of venders selling unique items Make plans to come out and eat, relax and support our effort to help our friends in Texas and Florida.

4 A healing Pastor came to a church. There was a long line to see him. It was a young man s turn in line and he told the pastor that he needed prayer for his hearing. So, the healing Pastor grabbed his ears and said a prayer. The Pastor let go and asked, "How s your hearing now''. "I don't know, my court date is not till Friday," replied the young man.
