3 Ministry News Join the RMBC Family as we strive for better health in Each month we will have a challenge to improve the stewardship of our body - our Temple. At the end of the month, special recognition will go to those who meet the challenge. March's challenge - Drink More - Water! Drink an additional glass of water daily. Each week increase by 1 glass up to 6-8 per day for better health outcomes! Wellness Ministry Members, if you have a special prayer request, please request a prayer card from the Ushers Ministry. Once completed please give it to any member of the Deacon Ministry. Remember to use the Church s Member line ( ) to convey important information to the Deacon Ministry. This phone line is available 24-hours a day and is only accessed and checked by members of the Deacon Ministry daily. The New Members Fellowship scheduled for today has been canceled due to a called church meeting.

4 Church directories can be picked up by a family member who took a picture on the below listed dates in the Fellowship Hall: Wednesday, March 14 (following Bible at 7:00 pm); Sunday, March 18 (following the 8:00 and 10:30 am services); Friday, March 23 (from 4:00-6:00 pm). Please contact any member of the Hospitality Committee if you need special consideration. Ridgewood Family, if you are interested in joining our team, please join us on Saturday, March 17th at 10:00am, Mack s Nursery. Our purpose is to serve church attendees with adequate medical assistance during worship service. 1RM team members are vigilant in our watch for anyone experiencing a medical crisis or duress by executing the duties and responsibilities within our ministry. We look forward to you joining us during our quarterly meeting as we continue to press towards the call that God has placed upon us. 5 The SAT workshops will be held March 17, March 31, April 14 and April 28-12:00-1:00 pm in Mack s Nursery. The workshops are open to 9th, 10th, 11th & 12th graders. The workshops are directed by our own, Dr. Craig Littlejohn. The Scholarship Committee would like to encourage our students to come! These workshops are for your future benefits! All married couples are invited to join the Couples Ministry for movie and dinner on Saturday, March 17th. We will be seeing the movie titled I Can Only Imagine and dinner. Movie/dinner time will be announced later. Men s Ministry Will host their Annual Spring Car Wash on Saturday, March 17th at 8:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.; $8.00 for cars; for SUVs & trucks and $13.00 for vans. The wash consists of exterior wash; vacuum, tires clean and shine with interior fragrance upon request. Thanking each of you in advance for your continued support of the Men s Ministry Activities. Men s Ministry Monthly Fellowship, Prayer Breakfast & Devotional is scheduled for Saturday, March 24th at 8:00 AM. All the Men of the Church are encouraged to attend and bring a friend.

6 FUNDRAISERS Breakfast Every Sunday (9:00-10:15 am - Prices Varies) Country Kitchen Cafe Every Third Sunday 12:00-3:00 pm LC Chavous Conference Center Breakfast (items include Shrimp & Grits and Liver Pudding). Many other items to choose from. Cost varies. Country Kitchen Cafe Menu: Sunday, March 18th; Menu: Baked & Fried Chicken, Stew Beef, Rice & Gravy, Mac & Cheese, Cabbage, Pinto Beans, Cornbread, Lemonade & Dessert. Cost: $8.00 for adults, $3.00 for children (under 8 years old); Dessert - $1.00 Sunday School Lesson - Sunday, March 18th The People Gave Thanks to God - 2 Chronicles 7:1-9 After Solomon s temple dedication prayer, fire came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifices. Then the glory of the Lord filled the temple. What was the response to the Lord s presence? It was worship.

7 Don't forget, our March Youth Game Night will be held Friday, March 16th, 5:30-8:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. This month's Game Night will include a mini field trip to participate in a Flash Light Egg Hunt and Carnival. Dinner will be served until 6:15. We will need a head count by Wednesday, March 14th. All interested youth should sign up with any Youth Ministry Staff. The Youth Ministry's Annual Easterfest will be held Saturday, March 24th, at the Levi C Chavous Conference Center from 11a to 2p. Our Easter Program will begin at 11am and the Egg Hunt and additional festivities will be held at noon. We are asking for donations and volunteers, to make this event a success. Please see Porscha or Tyler for additional information. Thank you in advance for your support! RMBC Youth Ministry is planning a trip to Carowinds' annual Joyfest Concert Saturday, May 26th (Memorial Day Weekend). All interested persons should sign up with any Youth ministry staff. We are asking for a $20 non-refundable deposit by Sunday, March 18th to secure ticket cost. Be sure to pick up a copy of the March newsletter for additional information on our Youth Ministry.

8 Don t you just feel better when your hair looks good? With the right products, you don t have year, the YWAs want to assist the Palmetto Place Children s Shelter in fulfilling their need for ethnic hair care products. Our hope for this service project is to get one item from each member of the church and donate them to bless these young people and their Crowns of Glory. Please see any member of the YWAs for a suggested list of unopened, unused ethnic hair care products. Donations will be accepted until April 14th at our Lavender Luncheon. Bricks for the walkway at the Holloway House can be purchased until we give a cutoff date. Please see any board member (Estelle Young, Joe Gardner, Ida Tyler, Hope Curry, Loretta Herrin, Dea.
