Actually, the above title is not totally true. Because we are blessed by God each and every day, stewardship, which is how we take care of and utilize what God gives us, ought to be foremost in our hearts and minds on a daily basis. The Fall of the year and the month of October is simply set aside to begin praying and thinking and praying about what our commitment will be for the coming year. What amount, what percentage will I/we pledge to bring to the storehouse! I ran across the following parable while surfing the web in search o some stewardship thoughts: Eight Reasons Not to Make Your House Payment A Parable by David Sumner 1. The only time I ever hear from the bank is when they want money. They never pay attention to my other needs. 2. I m upset at the bank president. He said some things I don t agree with. 3. The house payment is a tenth of my income. That s a whole lot more than I can really afford. 4. I ll give them what I can every month. But I don t want to make any longrange promises. 5. We went on vacation last month. The bank will have to wait while we catch up on other bills. 6. I ll support the bank with my prayers. That ought to do more good than my measly little payment. 7. The bank spends too much money on itself. When it starts giving more away, then I ll start making house payments again. 8.The bank has a lot of rich customers. It can get along fine without my little payment. Well, I enjoyed it! So what should I be doing concerning the stewardship of finances in my life? Good question and here are some thoughts: 1. I was serious about prayer. Have an honest conversation with God about what it means to be faithful with what God gives to you. 2. Pray about your priorities when it comes to how you use your financial means. Where does God rank in your monthly expenditures? 3. Pray about what you are giving this year, what s the percent of your total that you take to the storehouse? 4. Pray about an increase as you work your way to the tithe, the first fruits. 5. Then step out on faith. God s promise is that when you put God first, God will work it out. In the name of Jesus, Pr. Skip

This is a great way to spread God s love and joy. Please contact There also will be an greeter sign-up sheet in the Welcome Center. THANK YOU! Lord of Life Church Family, Thank you for holding the Welhausen and Hagens family in your prayers. Stephen was something special and would be deeply moved by the compassion of each of you. A special thank you to Pastor Skip for attending Steve s memorial and to each of you that were also in attendance that beautiful day. Steve smiled at everyone and was drawn to each person he met with a true passion and concern. His smile was infectious and his entire family challenges each of you to offer a smile to everyone you meet each and every day. As Steve said, Everyone hurts, and a smile may be just what they need at that moment in time. Peace and love to each of you, Diana and Donna Hagens

12 Page 12 INDIA MINISTRY Life-Lines Lord of Life was apart of sending Sunil Noah to India for the Emmanuel Bible School programs and other rural ministries. 27 Pastors rededicated their lives to continue to serve God faithfully against all the odds they face. Their faith was challenged and uplifted. In spite of all the Hindu government's efforts to propagate Hinduism, the church continues to grow. The Below are testimonies from Sunil about his trip. During my trip in August, I conducted a one day family retreat at a very rural place - near Walajabad, Kancheepuram District. God healed a young Hindu boy of kidney stones. He was suffering much in pain, but could not afford medical costs. When I anointed him with oil and prayed, all three kidney stones came out without any surgery needed. Now this family gave their lives to Jesus and they are attending church there. Praise God! He continues to heal when we pray. God also gave me the opportunity to pray for more than 40 people in this village. After ministering at the village church at Walajabad, I was invited by a young Hindu man to visit his village - IRUMARAM, which was located about 35 km away. When I went there, they took me to the village headman's home and they gathered all the people on that street into their home. There was not a single Christian home in this village. The village had just then celebrated a big Hindu festival. By the grace of God, I sang songs glorifying Jesus and preached for an hour. When I requested people to come forward for prayers, the village headman's wife was the first to come and she knelt down for prayers. Following her, the entire crowd in the house - around people, both young and old, came forward for prayers. I anointed each of them with oil and prayed over them. During my preaching, I said that God would send the former rain, the rain in season and the latter rain. Never did I realize that this village had not had any rains in four years and was going through a severe drought. But by the grace of God and all glory to Jesus, God opened up the heavens and poured rain that night. The villagers were rejoicing and thanking God. They sent me some pictures the next day, which I am attaching here. Also, the next day I heard from them requesting for a church to be built in this village. There is not a single church in this village so far. We are praying that God would enable us to build a church here and lift the name of Jesus high above all other gods. Thank you once again for sending me. God willing, I will travel again to India in January 2016.
