1 Gathering of the Community Sharing Christ s Peace Guitar Meditation - Gathering Around the Word - **Call to Worship... from Psalm 138 Welcome to Worship at First Presbyterian Church Warm greetings and love in Christ are extended to all gathered in this house of worship. A double asterisk (**) indicates you may rise in body or in spirit as you are able. Large print bulletins and hearing assist units are available from an usher. Please respectfully allow all to worship by keeping all cell phones/pagers silent or off. Please record your name and address on the Ministry of Friendship (red folder at the end of the row). Pass it to the end of the row and back to see with whom you worship. If you would like a nametag, or have misplaced your nametag and need a new one, please fill out one of the yellow cards in the pew and place it in the offering plate. Children are always welcome in worship services. If parents prefer, a nursery for infants and toddlers is available in the North Wing of the main building. A Children s Bible is located on the wooden tree at the south entrance. Use it to engage your children in scripture. You will find this Sunday s reading on page 135, 3rd Sunday after Pentecost. Please return the Bible to the tree after worship. Children's Worship bags are located on the wooden tree for children through 5th grade. Take the bulletin and activity sheets home, but please return the bag with all other materials to the tree after worship. The Peace Candle on the Communion Table is a reminder to pray for world peace. Visitors are invited to share a candle with their home church by picking one up at the Information Center in the Narthex. O give thanks to the Lord with your whole heart. On the day I called, you answered me. God s steadfast love endures forever. Thanks be to God! **Hymn of Praise Come! Live in the Light! Prayer of Adoration (Followed by the Lord s Prayer) Call to Confession Order of Divine Worship Third Sunday after Pentecost June 10, :30 am Prayer of Confession Gracious God, have mercy on us, for we have failed to be faithful to you, though you have been faithful to us. In your mercy, reconcile us to you and one another for the work of justice, peace, and love, through Jesus Christ, our redeemer... Moment for silent confession

6 Join Us for Summer Sunday Fellowship Time! Once again this summer, we invite all church members and friends to be part of our Summer Sunday Fellowship Time. Everyone has been assigned a Sunday to bring something, based on your birthday month. It doesn t have to be something big or elaborate: fruit, cheese and crackers, veggies, or some bagels---whatever you enjoy. The schedule is to the right, and your birthday month is assigned to one Sunday. If you have a March birthday, for example, you would bring something to share on Sunday, June 10. Parents, your children have a birthday month, too they might like to prepare something to share with their church family that Sunday. If you will be out of town on your Sunday, please try to trade with someone or pick a Sunday and bring something to share.
