A double asterisk (**) indicates you may rise in body or in spirit as you are able. Large print hymnals, bulletins and hearing assist units are available from an usher. Please respectfully allow all to worship by keeping all cell phones/pagers silent or off. Please record your name and address on the Ministry of Friendship (red folder at the end of the row). Pass it to the end of the row and back to see with whom you worship. Children are always welcome in worship services. If parents prefer, a nursery for infants and toddlers is available in the North Wing. A Children s Bible is located on the wooden tree at the rear of Sanctuary. Use it to engage your children in scripture. You will find this Sunday s reading on page 225 Proper 25. Please return the Bible to the tree after worship. Your gifts will be used to touch the lives of many. - MUSIC NOTES BY REBECCA TE VELDE - Today we thank our conga players for accompanying the Chancel Choir anthem and hymns at the 11:00 service! Special thanks to OSU for loaning us the congas and to drummer Matt Durkee for his help with moving them! The composer of this unusual anthem, David Schelat, is Director of music/ Organist at First and Central Presbyterian Church in Wilmington, Delaware. He is in demand as a recitalist and clinician and as a commissioned composer. In this piece, the choir s only accompaniment is the congas. The music has the feel of a Renaissance dance and is set in the ancient Dorian church mode (early form of a minor scale). The music is original, but the text is a paraphrase of Psalm 150. Because it is a logistical challenge to get drums, drummers and choir together, we will enjoy this occasion by repeating the anthem as the Benediction Response just prior to beginning the congregational meeting.
10 Seasoned Adult Event Monday, November 16 ~ 6:00 p.m. Fellowship Hall An Evening at the Christkindlesmart in Germany with Ken & Mary McKinley and Julie Bills Dinner is being catered by Margaret s German Restaurant in Tulsa.
