But what do you do if things start going bad, or rather when things start going bad? Trials are sure to come. Satan is real and will always counterattack when we re making progress. What do you do when your thoughts, feelings, words, or circumstances bring discouragement? Remember: Your feelings matter, but don t define you. No one this side of 1 Heaven feels good all the time. Faith (which is more precious than gold 1 Peter 1:7) grows 2 in storms. Satan is at work, but so is God! See Romans 8:28, 31, 37; 3 Romans 5:3-5; Romans 16:20; Philippians 4:19; James 1:2-4; and 2 Peter 1:3-4. Discouragement never comes from God! It is a primary 4 weapon of our enemy, so resist it! You have weapons as well: time in prayer and in the Bible are 5 especially important in hard times. Small group connection is very important. Stay open with your group. Let them know you re discouraged and ask them to pray for you. Keep working your Plan for Spiritual Growth. Remember that worship, praise, and thanksgiving are powerful in defeating discouragement and depression! God knows what you re going through and He is faithful to make a way for your victory. Great things are coming through the Freedom groups and Freedom Conference (April 26-27), Plan for Spiritual Growth, your commitment to pray for and share with your faith with 5 people who need Jesus, Easter Sunday (April 21), and our Spiritual Life Conference (May 5-8). As you rely on Christ to overcome attacks, you will get stronger in your soul and spirit. You will bring glory to God, live with more joy, faith, confidence, and be better equipped to make an eternal difference with your life. Be encouraged! The victory is ours in the Lord!

The Gospel of Mark chronicles Jesus journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. Along the way, the Messiah gathers a ragged band of disciples. As crowds grow and dwindle on the road to Jerusalem, only a few stick by the suffering Savior on the road of discipleship. Join us as we trace the steps of Jesus through Israel, and explore the major themes of the Gospel of Mark. MARRIED COUPLES OPEN GROUP Wednesdays, 645pm, C229. As couples establish a solid foundation for their marriage, they become more like Jesus, experience healthy community, grow in oneness with their spouse, and learn to live on mission with their life and marriage. One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. 7 COMMUNITY CELEBRATION OF EMERGENCY RESPONDERS Join us for a special patriotic celebration and recognition of all emergency responders in our community on Tuesday, February 19, at 7pm in the Worship Center. Special guest Sergeant Charlie Eipper from Wichita Falls, Texas, Police Department, author of Jesus Christ on Killing, will be speaking. Also, as a part of this special celebration, musician Gordon Mote will be in concert. Gordon Mote is seen regularly on the Gaither Homecoming Series and is an accomplished pianist. This event is free and open to the public. Wheelchair Access to Building C: There is no wheelchair access from the back parking lot. There are handicap parking spots in the front parking lot; enter through Building A (Worship Center). From the main lobby, turn left down the hallway to Building B, and turn right down the hallway in Building B to enter Building C. Wheelchair drop off is at the drive-through on the creekside of Building B. Once inside, turn left down the hallway which connects to Building C. The elevator is directly in front of you as you enter Building C through the double doors. Press 1 to go to the Fellowship Hall or Chapel; Press 2 to go to the 2nd floor meetings rooms.
