Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Matthew 9:36-38 From Pastor Ralph... When I was growing up, the biggest vacation my family had took place in August before I started third grade. We traveled with a camper to Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, Lake Placid, New York City, and Washington DC. It was a great trip, especially exciting for a kid! But the most significant part was when we went to the Damascus Camp Meeting in Maryland. It was there, after my dad preached one night, that I went to the front to kneel and ask Jesus to forgive me and come into me. That summer changed my life. Two summers later a youth revival in my church affected our whole town; in fact, the meetings were extended for a week so that more people could experience it. Three summers after that, a youth pastor taught me how to spend time with God. I read through the Bible that summer, and that changed my life. Your life can change in a summer. As a youth pastor and a pastor, I have seen change like that happen over and over for people. In the summer, there are more opportunities for our young adults and students to grow than any other time of year. This summer can change your life! I want to encourage you to commit to spending time with God this summer. Read through the New Testament (or more). Commit to daily prayer time, set a time once a week to take a walk with the Lord to talk to Him and thank Him for what He is doing in your life, and take advantage of the Continued services! At Harvest, people are being changed by God s presence as He is breaking the power of sin, guilt, shame, the past, destructive habits, and darkness. People are asking God to fill them with the Holy Spirit, and He is answering those prayers with anointing, freedom, revelation, peace, and joy. Many of you have already been changed, and I believe He will touch all who are thirsty for Him! At the end of this summer, we want you to have more than pictures and memories. Pray now ask the Lord what you need to do to let Him make this a summer that will change your life.

From Pastor Keith: By His Spirit, the Lord is continuing to speak to us through the continued conference meetings. If you are open to what He wants to do in your life, you and your family will never be the same. How does this relate to small groups? Look at the example of community in Acts 2:42-47 when they met house-to-house. This represents two things for us today: 1) There was a grace poured out through the Holy Spirit that helped those believers prioritize their lives for Kingdom interaction. For those of you not meeting on Wednesday night right now, take this opportunity to meet together on a different night of the week or just for fellowship at a restaurant or someone s house in the group. You may choose to just meet for dinner before the Wednesday night meetings, but don t miss the meetings. The Lord s presence is so strong when we meet together. He desires to do a lasting work in each of us during this time. Share what God is saying to you through the messages or during worship or ministry time. 2) The Holy Spirit is infusing His life in all who desire it and ask for it. This is crystal clear in the passage in Acts. Are you asking Him to infuse Life through His Spirit in you today? Ministry teams Spotlight Children s Ministry This team provides volunteers for Sunday and Wednesday classes and special events. For more information contact kids@ harvestdothan.com. There are many volunteer opportunities for children ages birth to 6th grade (background check required). Usher Team Ushers cheerfully help attendees find a seat in the Worship Center as well as help manage the room with the direction of the usher ministry team leader. Ushers serve once a month on a Sunday morning of their choice. No formal training is required, just a willingness to help. Special Needs Assistants are needed for our Sunday Morning Noah s Park (Preschool) and Konstruction Zone (K-4th Gr.) Ministries. Baptism Class - This class is for children who have made a decision to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and to learn what it means to have a personal relationship with Him. Debi Parnell There are many ways to witness the glory of God if our heart s eyes are open to recognize them as such. For example, recently I was waiting at a stop light behind a little red car that I believed held only the driver, two passengers, and a shiny helium Preschool/Nursery balloon. To my delight, up popped a tiny hand reaching high to bounce around the balloon. I praised God for the blessing of witnessing that playful moment because through it I caught a glimpse of His glory!
