Matthew 9:36-38 From Pastor Ralph... The Lord is giving us a wonderful beginning to 2014. More people are attending worship in these first seven weeks than in any previous year at Harvest.

Most importantly, many people have accepted Christ and started walking with Him, and the mission team from Harvest to the Philippines led about 1,400 people to Christ in two weeks!

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Matthew 9:36-38 From Pastor Ralph... The Lord is giving us a wonderful beginning to More people are attending worship in these first seven weeks than in any previous year at Harvest. In fact, our attendance is up over last year s by an average of 175 each week that is enough people to make up another church! Most importantly, many people have accepted Christ and started walking with Him, and the mission team from Harvest to the Philippines led about 1,400 people to Christ in two weeks! Over a thousand of us are studying 40 Days in the Word together in small groups. It is exciting to be learning and reading the same things; it unifies us. Groups are ministering all over the community with the Micah 6:8 service projects. We are not just hearing the word, we are doing it! Groups are bringing God s love to nursing homes, retirement centers, hospitals, to single parent families, and in many others ways in and around our church. I hear personal testimonies of what God is revealing to many of you through His word. We are hearing God speak to us as we set time aside to seek to know Him more. John Wesley, who led a great revival that began the Methodist movement, referred to himself as a man of one book. Though highly educated, the Bible guided his life. We need to be people of one Book! Every Christian wants to be guided by God. As we get to know the Bible, we can know His will for almost every decision. Knowing His word changes the way we think (which changes our entire being), act, and respond, as well as changing our attitudes and values. The Bible can change us all the way to the heart the center of our being. It is the sword of the Spirit, our primary weapon in spiritual warfare, and it tells us the promises of God that we can stand on in every situation. God s word is truth in a worldly system dominated by the prince of this world, Satan, the father of lies. I believe that 40 Days in the Word is changing our church as we are changed as individuals. I want to encourage you to determine to be people of the Word. It will change your life and we will change the world.

Ash Wednesday Service Wednesday, March 5, 6-6:45pm, Worship Center Ash Wednesday developed as a day of penitence to mark the beginning of Lent the forty days of preparation for Easter. This year Ash Wednesday directly follows our journey as a church through the 40 Days in the Word Bible study. This service is a time for us to come before the Lord together in repentance and self-denial and to thank Him for His grace to cover our sins. 1 John 1:9 Marriage Seminar: Becoming One Friday, March 14, 7-9pm & Saturday, March 15, 9am-noon Join us for this marriage simulcast with Jimmy and Karen Evans of Marriage Today. Harvest Worship & Performing Arts Getting To Know Our Harvest Worship Team Featured Member: Caleb Frith Cheryl Hidle Director of Worship & Performing Arts When I was about 10 years old, my father became a part of the staff here at Harvest Church. I started drumming when I was 8 on a little practice pad that he bought for me. As soon as the opportunity arose, I started to play for KZ here in the children s department. I loved serving on the team for Debi Parnell, but I was young, and I didn t have an understanding of what worship was. Time went on and an opportunity arose for me to serve on the youth worship team. The youth group here at Harvest really helped me understand what worship was all about. Up until then, I had always played for the performance aspect. But it is so much more than that. Worship connects us to God in a way that nothing else can. It gives us a great opportunity to renew our minds, and give God the praise he deserves. It is not just about the music. And I have been blessed to have the opportunity to lead the congregation here at Harvest into worship on Sunday mornings. I am currently playing drums in a Christian Rock band called Abandon the Empire. Our goal has been to reach out to my generation with music that they can relate to. And I am looking forward to what the Lord has in store for my music life in the future. Night of Worship - Mark your calendar for our next Night of Worship on Friday, February 28 at 7pm. All of the money collected will be given to our ministry partners at Love in Action to purchase puzzle Bibles for children in Pakistan.
